Yes, I meant the people who he really works for, not who elected him.

He must have been hit by a Mack truck earlier in the day.

Haha. More likely one of those Daktari safari vehicles. Water buffaloes sometimes stand in the road. I saw it on the Discovery channel.

Ya, old Chink sometimes is very honest. I'll give him credit for that at least.

Kind of hard to prosecute a dead man who copied the emails and shared them with somebody.

Didn't the Supreme Court already rule on this kind of thing?

Something about the Pentagon Papers?

New York Times Co. v. United States

(excerpt)

New York Times Co. v. United States, 403 U.S. 713 (1971),[1] was a landmark decision by the United States Supreme Court on the First Amendment. The ruling made it possible for The New York Times and The Washington Post newspapers to publish the then-classified Pentagon Papers without risk of government censorship or punishment.

“I think he should be given a medal.”

Agreed.

Why are they trying to charge him but have swept the corruption he exposed under the rug?

Assange has stated that he did not get the emails from the Russians. Once under oath, hopefully before biased Mueller gets him, he will reveal the source. Many think it was Seth Rich.

If so, then Rich’s murder will cast deep shadows over the Dems for quite a while.

If he knows about Seth Rich, then offer him a pardon for testimony. Sounds like a good deal.

*** on the other hand it may be a rescue plan in disguise ***

You are 100% wrong. POTUS is fully on board with this travesty. He has given up what might have been to following the whims of Deep State.

*** We (USA) must be providing money to Ecuador on a regular basis. Lots of it. That’s the only way I can rationalize the expectation of fealty, and prompt obedience. ***

Where have you been? The US has promised Ecuador military assets and training.

Ecuador uses the US dollar as their national currency. We recently explained to them that we might not allow that anymore.
The new president there got the message loud and clear. If Assange isn’t turned over when we ask, their economy gets the Venezuela treatment.

I don't recall Trump ever liking or approving of Assange. I recall him trashing Assange during his campaigning.

Assange is just an opportunist... he publishes whatever info thieves hand him. Perhaps that's reckless, or perhaps that's honorable... or perhaps it all depends.

Anyway... Trump has yet to get control of the State department (the ones pressuring Ecuador)... or the CIA, FBI, DOJ... etc.

Trump doesn't owe Assange any favors, and has no obligation to save him from Mueller and his Deep State gang. Perhaps Mueller will offer Assange a deal: Lie and implicate Trump and walk free, or spend the rest of your life in prison.

Trump didn't collude with Russia... or Assange or anyone else. He's still betting on the truth winning out in the end. Therefore, he's not going to make himself look guilty by going out of his way to save that actor.

This would force him out into US custody where he could bury ClintonCo.

Five Times Trump mentioned WikiLeaks favorably on the Campaign Trail:

The Injustice Department.

Wikileaks accuracy is 100%. Julian is an honorable man who continues to suffer horribly, for taking on the Deep State.

WikiLeaks has published thousands of documents. Not one was ever found to be untrue or a fabrication.

He published the Podesta emails..Remember those? He deserves a medal for those alone.

He publishes whatever he can get his hands on. Yes, it's real stuff... there's no question there. Misfits like Bradley (aka Chelsea) Manning steal stuff and hand it to Wikileaks, and Assange publishes it.

We may get enjoyment out of certain releases, like Podesta's, because they might benefit us politically. But, I'm generally opposed to the concept of misfits we trust with our secrets going out and giving our secrets away to outsiders. I think it's dangerous to our security.
