Gov. Rick Scott (R) leads Sen. Bill Nelson (D) by 12,562 votes in the Florida Senate race. A margin of victory that large has never been overturned in a recount....[snip] Democrats have filed a series of lawsuits to change Florida elections laws. The result would be that they can count ineligible votes in the hope that these will provide the margin necessary to overcome Scott’s lead. ... Florida statute mandates that, ... vote-by-mail ballots are counted only if they are “received by the SOE by 7 p.m...." Nelson sued demanding that [late] mail ballots... be counted ... ... Florida law says mail and provisional ballots are counted only if signatures match ... Democrats are asking a judge to throw that law out....

Federal prosecutors are investigating charges that Florida Democratic Party officials urged voters to fix their ballots after Election Day, . .... [snip] Florida law... prescribing what constitutes a ‘clear indication on the ballot that the voter has made a definite choice.... Now Democratic lawyers are asking ... Florida to ignore this intent standard when reviewing “under votes,”.... While national Democrats sue in the courts to change election laws, local Democratic officials running the recount are accused of engaging in serious irregularities.... There is also evidence that officials in Democrat-leaning Broward have been dragging their feet in carrying out the recount.... These counties’ problems could have many different possible causes, including incompetence- fraud, or both. But it’s fair to ask whether these Democratic counties are intentionally slow rolling the recounts in the hopes that Democratic lawsuits will work and a judge will allow them to count ineligible votes in violation of state law. As Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) explained, “That isn’t a strategy to win an election, that is a strategy to steal an election.”

Voter fraud, no matter how trivial should be subject to capital punishment

Voter fraud is a crime against the Republic

Blah, blah, blah, blah... We’ve known about this horseshit in Broward and Palm Beach Counties for years, but they’re just the preeminent examples. From fake nursing home votes, to fake homeless votes, illegal registrations, thousands of dead people voting (Seriously? Hundreds of people over 115 years old voting?), voting in multiple precincts, buying votes, “provisional” votes, absentee votes... (My fingers are getting tired.) And the list goes on...

This has been going on for years! Does anyone remember the 1960 presidential election, for God’s sake? Hint: Chicago and West Virginia.

But where the hell are the prosecutions? Our election system is so FUBAR’d, how can we possibly know who really won any of the races? When was the last time that a Republican benefitted from a recount?

Didn’t Trump promise to address election integrity? His election integrity commission lasted less than a year. A problem too big and too complex to tackle...?

Because of voter fraud across the country, the republicans were horribly decimated in each state! Unfortunately it takes billions to fight this type of fraud, money the RNC doesn’t have. That’s how much $$$ the anti trump millionaires & billionaires poured into these elections! They planned the steal for two years and it worked like a charm unopposed! Infuriating!!

Just wait until 2020. The whole nation will be under attack by the Dims, and the GOP will be scratching their heads saying: What happened?”.

They are trying to steal an election and when we find out there will be no arrests, it will all but confirm the RINO party is in on it.

It is getting harder to argue that point, now that Broward County, where the machine re-count dropped a couple thousand votes, and gave Scott an extra 900-vote margin, managed to file that recount 2 minutes late, making it invalid, and denying Scott that larger margin.

For a county screaming that they had to do everything to make sure every vote got counted, it seems clear now they are not doing anything to count republican votes.

Just ask and Boward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough will mail you one. It is never two late. You have to tell them who you are going to vote for first.

Like they did in 2000 in Florida - seeking to change the rules after the fact.

Exactly, it’s a numbers game.

Bill Nelson is not a bad guy; he’s pretty low key. This is not his doing. On his own accord the old guy would resign. He IS under tremendous pressure to keep that critical seat by any means necessary.

Actually, I personally agree with the concept that every vote should count.

We all believe every legal vote should count.

When democrats say "every vote" they mean every ballot they can squeeze through the door, legal or not.

Republicans and other honest people consider most elections to be over when the polls close and the votes are counted.
But for democrats an election is never over until there is a democrat in that office.

Nice take.
