) -- Commuters across New Jersey faced a slow ride to work one day after a blast of snow and sleet brought traffic to a stop and led to a wave of criticism of Gov. Phil Murphy.

Murphy held a briefing in Woodbridge Friday morning to address the concerns. He was flanked by members of his administration who led the state's response to the storm.

"I can understand and appreciate entirely and completely the frustration that I am hearing, and our team is hearing from commuters," Murphy said. "Every storm gives us a test. This is not the first, by a mile, but it gives us the chance to review responses and make adjustments for the next one."

On Thursday, Murphy, a Democrat, tweeted that the storm was worse than forecast, but commuters weren't buying that.

Plan B - it’s Trumps fault
plan C - glowbull warming
plan C - racism

If the governator would just shut down gasoline sales, CO2 would be reduced, Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming would be halted in its tracks and there would be no commuters to complain about the roads.

Easy Peazy

Absolutely no reason for the commuter nightmare experienced by most of us on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.

The Governor, instead of meeting with emergency services and taking command, took the time to speak to a gathering of mayors in Atlantic City while the weather outside got increasingly worse. While you were stuck on the roadways, at the bus terminal or on the train platform, he was “coming at ya” on Facebook, smiling and blaming forecasters.

What?

Our own Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow was talking about a challenging afternoon commute on Thursday on MONDAY. So the Governor knew. He simply failed to plan, prepare and lead.

They should blame AlBore because his GoreBull warming should have eliminated all snow by now.

Did the cronies sell off the snowplows for scrap because they bought into GoreBull warming?

I took the day off. I follow the weather guys over at WXdisco and I knew this was going to be a tough storm.

Everyone I work with had commutes that were insane. The company closed at 3pm. Some folks didn’t get home until midnight. Had I gone in, I would have been one of them. 5-6 hours for a bunch of people who normally spend 30-40 minutes to and from.

The state and local governments really screwed the pooch. They didn’t have enough equipment ready. The equipment that was ready, wasn’t ready enough. Some snowplows slid off the road because they didn’t chain them up. They brined some of the roads, one or two lanes, but not nearly enough.

Commuters ran out of gas on route 80,route 287, route 23, etc.

Insanity.

Took me an extra two hours to get home last night from Manhattan to CT.

But we had a snowstorm. I did not expect to have a normal commute.

During my commute, some of the stopped motorists had to get out and pee. In that situation, when you are spending hours in total gridlock, what should the protocol be when nature calls?
