Howdy, caww.

Your weather is precisely why I won’t live any farther north than I do. Gets cold and stays that way, and y’all get too much snow! LOL

We get cold snaps but winter doesn’t get going in earnest until around mid-Dec. .... if we’re lucky. Sometimes a little sooner.

I’m ready for Spring. :-)

You didn’t see the time show up on the red line? That’s how I got the times for you.
I haven’t had thumbnails on the cams for a little while now and don’t know why they don’t show up any more.
Got them back up again since you started the new stream. Thanks! It’s just getting light in Latvia so it’s a little soon to keep an eye out for Raimis and Milda.

BRRR! I feel for you with that wind. It does make it miserable to be outside. Peaches is in for the night, I’d say, and who can blame him? Did Ginger stay out or was she already in?

I always have a hard time getting into the holiday mindset because Hubby isn’t into them at all. No big Thanksgiving spread planned but we’ll have a nice supper. Hubby wants a Honey Baked ham so that will make it a little special.

Great concert. Quartets by Haydn and Ravel, plus the Quintet for Piano and Strings in A Major by Dvorak. For an encore, they did the scherzo movement of the Brahms Quintet for Piano and Strings in F minor.

The last few years it’s been rainy and then some up here.....we actually get more rain than the State of Washington now. So I suspect winter’s going to bring cold weather and several big storms this year. Yulk! However since I took an early retirement I no longer fret over the weather anymore! So happy I don’t have to go out unless I want to! It’s wonderful!

I lived in Jacksonville Florida for a time.......really missed the seasonal changes here.

Oh my gosh! I use to sing that song with my mother when I was just a wee little girl! This was while she made homemade bread and rolls at the table she used for preparing meals.
Those were special moments when I was close to my mother as she raised four kids alone after my dad died an early death. So with working a couple jobs time was precious with her and few of those. Singing in the kitchen was our time as I was the only one really interested in song and music.....also evidenced she was in a great mood!

There certainly was a lot of rain up there this summer. Lots of flooding in parts of the state.
Maybe you’ll be lucky and Farmer’s Almanac will be correct with their winter forecast .....

“This winter, we expect to see above-normal temperatures almost everywhere in the United States, except in the Southwest, where we’re predicting a colder-than-normal season. It’s still going to be wintery, of course, but it won’t be an especially frigid year. Our milder-than-normal forecast is due to the expected arrival of a weak El Niño, which will prevent cold air masses from lingering in the North. Despite a decrease in solar activity, we predict that the other factors that contribute to winter weather will keep temperatures above normal.”

https://www.almanac.com/content/2019-winter-weather-forecast

Works for me if they’re correct! LOL

I lived in Tallahassee several years ago but had enough of FL when summer rolled around. WAY too hot!

I did go back to the number, but although I enjoyed seeing that little cutie playing around on the patio, I didn’t see Dad. Yeah, it was too early when I looked in on Raimis’s nest, too. I’m proud of those two...the nest really is beginning to LOOK like a nest. LOL!

We don’t have much of a celebration either. Just lunch out and then I try to play a few Thanksgiving themed tunes when we get home.

Ginger hardly ever goes out. She did last night for the first time in over a week. But she was darn ready to get back in this morning. I think they’re both in for the duration. He’s right here beside me on the bed, making a little warm spot. :)

I'm so glad it brought back those touching memories for you.

I've always loved Patti Page's version of that song.   I believe she overdubbed her own harmony for that recording.   Here is that original version she released:  "Tennessee Waltz" - Patti Page.

Oh yes...Florida is a “Thick” Hot!

That’s why I expect snow here...when it’s too cold it just lingers on and on.

Good night now....

Dad was only there a second - long enough to hand off the mousie and he was gone. That’s how I knew it was him and not Mom because she sticks around.

I have Raimis’s nest up now but there probably won’t be much activity. It’s really windy again.
They’ve done a great job building the new nest. Milda’s already “decorating” with a little sprig of spruce. LOL

I thought Ginger rarely wanted to be inside - or is that only when the weather is warm?

Thick hot is right! Can’t breathe. You pray for that afternoon thunderstorm to roll through and cool things off. LOL

They say it’ll be warmer than normal up there so maybe you won’t get too much snow this winter. One can hope!

Good night and sleep well.

No, Ginger stays in most of the time. In warmer weather she likes to go out at night, but when I opened the door a bit ago, she sat down. That means, no thanks. LOL! They both spend most of their time inside. Especially in bad weather.

It sounded windy there even before I could see the nest. They have really surprised me with their hard work. It’s great. I did want to see another set of babies there.

Guess I’d better head out. Sunday, ya know. Have to try to wake up and not be too grumpy when that alarm goes off at 7:30am. Blech! See ya tomorrow night! Enjoy your Sunday!

Ok, I guess it was her liking to be out at night during summer I was thinking about. Don’t blame her a bit for saying ‘no’ to going out tonight.

I heard the wind when I first pulled up the cam, too, and feel bad for everyone over there - - man and beast. Their winters are pretty crummy.
I do hope they don’t have another Big Pig with the new brood. Good grief but that eaglet was MEAN. It’s a miracle Divi survived.

Good luck with not being grumpy when the alarm goes off in the morning. LOL! I hope the day doesn’t turn out to be as cold as you expect. Catch ya tomorrow.
