Trump lost this state in 2016 by a wide margin. Distancing yourself from him in a statewide election is a sound political move for a GOP candidate.

This is not 2016, have you noticed? The economy is roaring and people are doing better under Trump and MAGA. They should have been running towards Trump you moron.

It's RINOs like you that stab Trump the back and talk like righteous fools. God save us form the idiots of the world. Go away.

I hate RINOs more than I hate the socialist. You basically stink on ice.

Better than a radical Democrat, as is becoming the norm, lately.

Abrams in Georgia stated that she was going to raise taxes and try to take guns.

Gillum was going to raise taxes.

Polis, in Colorado, has said that he’s going to go after the energy sector in the state. Ergo, put people out of work and raise taxes.

Newsome, in California, will turn the entire state into a hell hole and raise taxes. Of course, he and the rest of the elite will be well protected from the consequences of such policies.

The Democrats wreak havoc everywhere they go and the taxpayer picks up the bill.

It’s just my opinion but, a RINO is good for something better than 50% of the time, probably closer to 60-70%.

A Democrat is bad for something 100% of the time.

In this day and age, as much as I wish we had more REAL CONSERVATIVES, if New Jersey was dealt those cares, play them.

That has do be one of the dumbest posts I've seen in a long time -- and audacious in its ignorance.

Unlike you, I actually live here -- and I had a really good sense of what has been happening in this state in the last few years. A lot of suburban voters in this state got screwed by the 2017 tax bill that was passed by a Republican Congress and signed by President Trump. These are the voters who cost the GOP all the seats they lost here.

That "economy is roaring" statement simply doesn't apply here to the same degree it applies elsewhere -- and some people around here are actually worse off than they were two years ago.

Some Freepers warned about this looming disaster when the GOP began debating the tax bill with the cap on deductibility of state and local taxes. Maybe the GOP should have listened to them.

P.S. -- I'm not even a Republican, so I can't be a RINO. I'm a conservative nationalist with no party affiliation.

Actually, the voters were screwed by the Democrats over the years in New Jersey who subsidized their tax increases by leaning on the state tax deduction for relief. The problem is the Republicans couldn’t convey that loudly and convincingly to the New Jersey voters.

You don't have to tell ME that. Go tell that to the Republicans who have sat on their asses and accomplished almost nothing of consequence for two 'effing years.

The voters fired their Republican representatives, dude -- it's really that simple.

If Trump was nearly as popular as you think he is, then how the hell did Lou Barletta -- one of his biggest supporters in Washington -- get his ass kicked in Pennsylvania in his U.S. Senate bid?

It's funny how we laugh at the Democrats for sitting in their bubble and deluding themselves into thinking their agenda is so popular with American voters. I see plenty of that same nonsense right here on FR.

They tried. Almost every GOP House member in this state voted against that Republican tax bill. It didn't help. The Democrats successfully ran local races here against the national GOP.

The answer is the not moving to the center. The answer is Trump, America first, de regulation, tax cuts and nationalism. Again not moving to the center.

Why should the rest of the country listen to blue state loser Republicans?

RINOs are not learning....

You don't have to worry about those RINOs anymore, dude -- because they've been replaced by Democrats.

Nobody really "moved to the center" in public office at all. The voters did. My state has become a dump because the old conservative Republicans have migrated elsewhere or passed away, and they've been replaced by new voters who have no interest in deregulation, tax cuts and nationalism. These are urban misfits and losers from New York City, Philadelphia, and the Third World you're dealing with here. Your state is well on its way, too -- so you should get used to the smell of turds in your own toilet.

Don't blame the Republican who lost. Blame your fellow voters. Above all, don't blame ME.

Almost every GOP House member in this state voted against that Republican tax bill.

It's no consolation now, but the Repbulican's tax bill is a very good thing in the long run. It stops letting Democrat-run states from subsidizing their tax increases with a federal tax shift. Why should the rest of the states pay for the irresponsibility of leftist-run s**t-holes?

Now, Democrats will not be able to hide behind tax transfers when they increase taxes, and they alone will bear the responsibility. It'll come around, you'll see.

The voters did.

Yeah in that fetid disgusting place called New Jersey. So you are a middle of the road RINO. Its the slow boat to socialism for you.
