I’m reminded Kasich did the math pretty well during the Gingerich revolution when they balanced the budget (which is the sole achievement Kasich has been hanging his hat on since then), so why avoid doing the math on this one ? Puzzling . Delusion, I guess.

If Kasich runs, he will get the same vote as Jeb Bush in a Republican primary, the same vote as John Anderson in November. Kasich is no Ross Perot who will draw enough votes to make a difference.

There’s going to be a third party candidate who will take votes away only from Trump. He may as well be one who is proven ineffective. Kasich is someone who Meghan McCain and Bill Kristol can vote for happily. They will influence no one. He would be Evan McMullin II.
