"Unlike the Chinese system, Yang’s plan does not include using digital social credit for punitive measures."

Oh good, I was worried there for a minute. Very reassuring.

He should enjoy his title as “the looniest candidate for president” while he can. He’ll only hold that title for a little while as Hillary is likely to enter the race soon.

Mouse and cheese.

Government (dems) define “good behaviour”.

Next is UBI.

Sounds great!

Mass graves, anyone?

What’s wrong with volunteer work where people don’t have to pay more taxes? Or is constitutionally low-information presidential candidate Wang planning to fund this program with federal money trees? /sarc

Note that since the states have never expressly constitutional delegated to feds the specific power to tax and spend for such an incentive program, the described Democratic vote-winning payback program would have to be implemented under 10th Amendment-protected state powers.

"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States."—Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.

Otherwise, the federal version would amount to just another unconstitutional expansion of the already unconstitutionally big federal government’s powers.

When I first read about the Chinese social credit system, I knew that it would be less than 5 years before the “compassionate” totalitarians of the Democratic Party would propose this as policy in this country.

This guy will be loved by the left. His platform includes $1000.00 a month income for all between 18 and 65 years old, no questions asked or expectations. He was born in the US and both his parents are immigrants from Taiwan.

“Every citizen in China is assigned a social credit score that determines whether they can buy plane or train tickets.”

Sure sounds like an antichrist economic plan to me
