I'm no expert in such matters but I've heard it said time and time again that being,and having been,the US Attorney for the District of Columbia gives you a huge degree of credibility in various aspect of the law,the Constitution and in prosecuting Federal crimes.
Assuming that is,in fact,correct it must be one of those "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH" deals.

The FBI really got bad in September 2001 when President Bush appointed Robert Mueller director.
Mueller refused to honestly investigate the perpetrators of 9/11. He refused to investigate the Anthrax incident and instead wasted four years going after an innocent man Steven Hatfield. The government had to pay Hatfield $5 million for Mueller’s corruption, abuse and harassment of the innocent man.
Mueller helped the Muslim Brotherhood infiltrate the FBI and sabotaged the antiterrorism program.
Mueller also made false accusations against Senator Stevens and others. He literally destroyed and corrupted the FBI.
Then Comey came in and continued the corruption.

Now, it all comes into focus.
I agree with you in part but about a dozen TOP FBI and/or DOJ officials have been fired or resigned so that’s some progress.
