McConnell is lobbying Arizona's governor to name McSally as Kyl replacement

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is leveraging his political power to try to convince Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey to choose Rep. Martha McSally to replace Republican Sen. Jon Kyl, who is considering leaving his seat before his term ends, several Republican sources familiar with the conversations tell CNN.

McSally, a Republican congresswoman who once worked for Kyl, lost her Senate bid two weeks ago to Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema. Kyl, who was picked by the governor in September to fill the seat vacated by the late Sen. John McCain. told CNN last week he has decided whether to leave office before his term ends at the end of next year. He wouldn't reveal his decision, but said he will talk to Ducey about it.

Rewarding failure. McSally lost to a frekin' Leftist Moonbat. She underperformed Gov Ducey by 200 k votes.

Exactly so.

LOL!!! The polls were correct. McSally was behind most every poll and the repub governor candidate comfortably ahead. Voters split tickets all the time.

Be more creative...that is all I ask.

McSally was apparently a remarkably weak campaigner. Why should she be rewarded for turning a Republican seat over to the Democrats? Name a solid, strong and articulate conservative - the nation has suffered enough because of Arizona senators like McCain and Flake.

No way Ward gets his spot, although she’s 100% my pick.

Not lunacy at all. Do you honestly think what was attempted in Florida was just a one off? How about the four Orange County CA districts that all went blue (four of them being flipped for the first time in years)in which the number of votes cast for the Dem candidates was 50,000 more than the number of votes cast for Newsom?

In TX, Gov. Abbott already has voter fraud investigations under way. We already have plenty of evidence that organized election fraud occurred. The only question is how wide spread it was.

She’s like Coriolanus. Impressive war record doth not a successful politician make.

Yes...McSally will be a great choice. Yes, she did come up short on 200,000 votes less then Re-Elected, Governor, Doug Ducey...but that is because Sheriff, Arpaio and Kelli Ward refused to back her for her Senate run

Look, I like both Arpaio & Ward...but... once the primary was over, with McSally being the clear winner. those folks should have immediately backed McSally, 100%!! I have no use for either of them!!!

The “scum & vermin” Democrats did not beat us in Arizona or Alabama...Republicans, Arpaio, Ward, Moore (Alabama) beat us.

He promised he wouldn’t picky Cindy. It was prudent he did that to get re-elected. Now he will change his mind after the election?

McConnel is a dunce. Like a DEMONrat, illegal loving queer would appoint a Conservative.

Very good point. I would like to see Ducey appoint a true Conservative from our House Reps. Especially one who lives in a Conservative District, so the House seat wouldn’t be lost in the next election.

I hope you’re right. Hard to believe PDJT would not respond harshly to obvious voter fraud. Is Kirsten Nielsenup to the task, is his eyes?

Don’t be so sure she underperformed him by that much . The democrats went after mcsally in the cheating arena because it was a federal election. The state election would have been monitored more closely.

I understand what went down in Florida and Georgia.

But, I don’t understand what voting fraud happened in Arizona. I do understand there was a lot of mail ballots that takes a while to count and Arizona counts differently than the rest of the states. I also understand McSally was a poor candidate. I also understand Democrats were energized to vote.

Can you provide the proof of the actual voter fraud in Arizona.

Exactly right.

That is the biggest reason why the idea in the article is plain bad.

I can honestly say that I do not mind McSally, and I’m sure she’s a nice person. But with that horrible campaign she ran, should she really be trusted to hold the seat in the 2020 special?

I mean, it may be taken as an insult to the voters.

No I’ve got no proof. And McSally was a terrible candidate, for sure.

But why not fraud in Ariz? It’s everywhere, and the Dems are good at it. There are reports that thousands of DACA adults voted in TX, so why not Ariz.? Soros has focused on local Sec. of States so his people can control recounts.

You don’t really think Ariz was immune from it do you? I don’t know if it tipped the balance, but it didn’t help McSally.
