I would guess not. Last time I was in a Target, about 2 years ago, I was surprised at the prices on things.
This weekend, while I was waiting on my lovely wife....I perused the Target flyer that was in the paper. On stuff that I purchase (TP, laundry detergent, etc), prices are between 5 and 20% higher than WalMart. In all of the instances where the prices were lower, the package size was smaller, so the price jump was still maintained. They do have good coupons, though, but they're all predicated on continually shopping at the store ($10 off your next purchase, and so on)
I *was* slowly starting to shop again at Target, mostly due to the coupons and loss leaders. That changed this summer when I walked in to see a massive display of "Celebrate Gay Pride Month" merchandise. Walked out, haven't been back in.
I'm not upset to see the stock take a hit, they're next to fall after Sears, though it will take awhile.
