President should have the chef in attendance for the acceptance of the traditional Thanksgiving turkey at the White House. He should instruct the chef to have at it and prepare a fine Thanksgiving dinner. Skip the pardoning of the turkey, which I always thought was absolutely stupid.

Worst position in the world: White House turkeys #3 and #4 which are in a cage in the WH kitchen (or already plucked, gutted and marinating in the WH fridge) while turkeys #1 and #2 get a pardon.
One of the funniest turkey pardons was by Sarah Palin. While she was pardoning the Alaska turkeys at a farm, the slaughter of other turkeys was going on in the background. Always know what's behind you if you are being filmed, especially by a press that hates you.
