Kasich Still Opposed To 'Stand Your Ground' And 'Hearbeat Bill'
WOSU ^ | November 20, 2018 | Karen Kasler

Posted on 11/20/2018 9:11:34 AM PST by C19fan

Gov. John Kasich still has almost two more months on the job, but the GOP-led legislature is using its lame-duck session to push against his agenda.

Kasich said his opposition hasn’t changed to the so-called “Stand Your Ground” gun bill and the six-week abortion ban that just passed the Ohio House. He already vetoed the so-called “Heartbeat Bill” in 2016, and has indicated he would also veto the gun law.

John Katshit’s Top Advisor John Weaver: Brian Kemp is a Cheating Hack and Stacey Adams is the Legitimate Governor of Georgia
He who pays the piper calls the tune.

#WhoFundsNeverTrump?

Top John Kasich adviser. https://t.co/TcvJTXGHBG

This hack @BrianKempGA is the next “governor*” of Georgia. But he cheated & undermined democracy every step of the way. @staceyabrams should be governor, but isn’t due to actions that can’t be tolerated. She has a bright future. We need a new, enforceable Voting Rights Act. Now!

Yeah, but he appeals strongly to an important demographic: the suburban independent woman. It *could* make him formidable. In 2024 I would presume.

I had an interesting experience with "moderate" voters.

A friend of mind told me that he would vote for John McCain v Obama in the general election, but if any other Republican won the nod, he would vote BO.

McCain won the nom, and sure enough, my friend decided to vote for BO in the general, anyhoo.

This POS should be working a real job, instead of pitching his syrupy disingenuous drivel in the hopes of landing another well-paid freeloading government gig with stature attached. I really can't stand him. He is spitting in the eye of everyone of us who voted for Trump and want what he proposed - protected borders, America first, a booming economy with job growth, less dependence on foreign commodities, recovering our lost manufacturing jobs (including steel making), private medicine, and less political correctness. It's time his spittle comes back and hits him square in his self-righteous face.

Ain't that the sad truth?

Even Romney got caught admitting that appeal of Roe v. Wade wouldn't be a bad thing.

Kasich makes it very clear that unborn babies and prey for criminals are at the very bottom of his priority list. @$$hole!

He had zero appeal in 2016 Primaries and now will be even less. He wouldn’t win OH today. During the 2018 campaigns, he appeared for no GOP candidates at all here. He could be that 3-5% voter siphon if he ran as a spoiler Ind, which I bet he does.

I know a lot of people here (in NJ) that would vote for him in a heartbeat. And I have colleagues in OH that speak very highly of him too.

Look, he is a prototypical moderate. Whether we label him a RINO or the Dems call him a DINO - he’s a moderate. A lot of people that fall in the middle poltically are feeling like they’ve gotten screwed over for decades with the parties running further and further left and right to appease the base.

It never seems to materialize in the end - that a moderate can make a real run as an independent or as a Rep.
