What many on this forum seem to forget is that conservatives are the group that lives by and strictly follows righteous values and principles both in their personal and political lives. We don’t bend with the wind on these when it suits our purposes as is the norm on the left.
I got into an extended argument on another thread attempting to defend the “rule of law” concept with a group who thought it was A-OK to simple disregard laws that they personally disagree with....Just like the left on issues like immigration, free speech etc. Perfectly willing to be hypocrits because of some self perceived higher good.
I believe the judge said this is a State’s decision, not the Feds. I agree. Everyone here should agree, if you stand for the principles of this site.

This blind spot to FGM how I know they are fake Women's advocates, fake SJW. In many counties 90% of the women have been mutilated. The rate in the UK has been snowballing with 600 cases reported last year alone.

Agree, and on a more practical level, there’s no shortage of Republicans hoping to find a reason to impeach and then drive Trump out of office. Those Republicans know enough to lay low appear to support Trump, or else their own careers are finished...and there may be enough of them to take out Trump (with the Democrats, of course, voting the same).
But, if an opportunity came up where Trump did something egregious, like openly disobeying a court edict, and if the country started to really turn against Trump for it, Trump would find his supporters in Congress quite limited, just as Nixon found.
Of course Trump knows all that, which is EXACTLY why he won’t give them anything to go after him with. And now with the House run by Democrats, the Democrats may well make asses of themselves by voting for impeachment, without any basis.

In the heat of the moment when I read your comment I thought that you were suggesting there was not much difference between the two except there was a minor helth benefit to circumcision. After I posted mine I reread and realized you didn’t strictly say that at all. You did not address at all why they were apples & oranges which is not the same as suggesting that FGM is a minor procedure that only “possibily” affects sexual pleasure. This has been a topic that has made me see red since I first heard of the practice many years ago. I apologize that my response to you was unfair.
