Like about 95% of federal laws, and 80% of federal spending, all of which rely on the ‘Commerce Clause’ of the Constitution for their justification (i.e., it’s written into virtually every spending bill). They judge threw it out on THAT BASIS, meaning that if it does get appealed, the Supreme Court may well uphold his rationale to the ENTIRE US GOVERNMENT and wipe out practically everything, other than Defense, the Courts, Congress, and INS.
...and also wipe out the entire federal deficit all at the same time!
What many on this forum seem to forget is that conservatives are the group that lives by and strictly follows righteous values and principles both in their personal and political lives. We don’t bend with the wind on these when it suits our purposes as is the norm on the left.
I got into an extended argument on another thread attempting to defend the “rule of law” concept with a group who thought it was A-OK to simple disregard laws that they personally disagree with....Just like the left on issues like immigration, free speech etc. Perfectly willing to be hypocrits because of some self perceived higher good.
