Mayor Bill de Blasio values? Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez values? Governor Andrew Cuomo values?

New York City values, you have money, share it with me or I’ll take it from you?

... but, but, but, it's blockchain and unhackable they all claimed. You're investing in technology that will be adopted worldwide, they said.

A dollar bill is unhackable too. And just as a dollar bill can be lost or stolen, cryptocurrency can be lost or stolen.

So much for that hype.

My dollar bills are protected by a Glock security system .. . . and one from Colt . . . and one from Remington . . . and more. I trust those far more than the security on my cell phone or my laptop. Even if I have the world’s best passwords, and even if I never write them down, that’s not as reliable as physical possession.

I was just going to say that, 27 is not a young whiz kid, I thought the article was going to be about a teen.

Writers will write anything to sensationalize the headline, it is sad. FAKE NEWS

“... but, but, but, it’s blockchain and unhackable they all claimed. You’re investing in technology that will be adopted worldwide, they said.”

The blockchain was never hacked and no transactions on it were ever changed without the proper keys. Some individuals had their personal keys taken but this only happened by leaving their keys where criminals could get them.

This is the equivalent of someone owning an impenetrable safe but leaving the combination hanging out their back pocket. If someone cleans you out because of your own stupidity, it’s not the safe’s fault.

That said, nothing we can control is 100% secure. Even impenetrable safes have a key and that key is vulnerable to social engineering. Even if someone memorizes it and never writes it down, there are “ways” of making people talk...
