Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez On Pelosi Speakership: She Can Count On Me
Townhall.com ^ | November 22 2018 | Matt Vespa

This flirtation with the idea of a Democratic bloodbath over the House speakership was fun. I admit; a little part of me was hoping for a slog. It would’ve been a moment of shattered unity for the new Democratic House before the new sessions officially began. And I would have loved to see what Donald Trump would’ve have said, or done, to get Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) the votes she would have needed if she fell short. Right now, some 16 or so House Democrats have formed a Never Nancy wing, adamant that they will not support her speakership bid. It held for a few days, but its collapsed. Rep. Marcia Fudge(D-OH), a potential alternative candidate, jumped ship, as did anothersupposed Never Pelosi Democrat, Brian Higgins. This little game is over, and Pelosi is probably going to get that gavel back. While this challenge was emanating from some new incoming members, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the New York Representative who has no clue how to pay for her Medicare for All scheme, said Nancy could count on her support (via The Hill):

Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) endorsed House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for Speaker on Wednesday, saying that Pelosi "can count on my support."

"All the challenges to Leader Pelosi are coming from her right, in an apparent effort to make the party even more conservative and bent toward corporate interests," Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter.

"Hard pass. So long as Leader Pelosi remains the most progressive candidate for Speaker, she can count on my support."

The endorsement from Ocasio-Cortez, a high-profile incoming progressive Democrat, is the latest sign of broad momentum for Pelosi's bid to retake her Speaker position in the new Congress.

Five incoming members had joined a total of 16 House Democrats in signing a letter to colleagues last week urging a change in leadership.

One of those lawmakers to sign onto the letter, Rep. Brian Higgins (D-N.Y.), reversed his opposition and endorsed Pelosi on Wednesday.

It’s better this way, folks. Nancy as the face of the Democratic Party again, with an agenda that is so far left, coupled with politically motivated and utterly worthless House investigations that end up nowhere—Christmas has come early. And Trump will have the perfect ‘do-nothing Congress’ punching bag to pummel on the campaign trail in 2020, along with whomever the Democrats pick to run against him.

All the challenges to Leader Pelosi are coming from her right, in an apparent effort to make the party even more conservative and bent toward corporate interests.

Hard pass. So long as Leader Pelosi remains the most progressive candidate for Speaker, she can count on my support. https://t.co/yNVa8IorWY— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@Ocasio2018) November 21, 2018

I’ll guarantee it wasn’t Nancy, she has “people” for that.

“Someone talked to the Young Commie. Pity.”

Yep.
Nasty Nancy made her an offer she couldn’t refuse.

...

And Pelosi is an ancient filthy rich limousine liberal that nobody likes outside her district.

Gosh, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the back-end quid pro quo, where Speaker Pelosi makes the committee chair assignments.

“Hard not to admire her brutal political skill, too bad we don’t have someone like her.”

It’s not political skill. It’s ruthless narcissism. The most important thing to her is her - not the country. The percentage of politicians who actually put America first is in the single digits.

I am sure you meant the House of Representatives, as Congress consist of two Houses. Which are the Senate and the House of Reps

Uh, 60/40 - those blood suckers in the Senate haven't done much either.

No one has ever taken a word Alexandria Occasional-Cortex said seriously. But now, after having stabbed her leftwing friends in the back so suddenly and with such apparent fervor, she’s gone beyond mere stupidity into shameless pandering to the very Establishment she once vowed to overthrow.

She hasn’t been silenced. Instead, she seems to have been made into a spokesperson for Nancy Pelosi, who tells her what to say in public, thus further weakening the Democratic Left by having the Pelosian agenda expressed through the voice of the former leader of the anti-Pelosians.

How long will the Left stand for this? As long as they lack the courage to stand up for themselves. Once they revert to their pre-Ocasio-Cortex sheeplike ways, the Left may never rise up again.

She straightened up real fast. Did Pelosi’s cousin Guido pay her a visit?

Let’s go home for Christmas,
She can count on me…
We got snowed
And buffaloed-
It’s Speaker Pelosi…

Christmas Eve will find me
Stifling silent screams…
It’s not my House this Christmas,
But it’s always, always in my dreams…

As long as the Republican Senate keeps packing the judiciary, I count that as a win.

I’m sure all the Democrats who ran as Republicans to win their districts will now all also vote for Nan for Speaker, thus screwing over their constituents.

People are so stupid

The Democratic Party is destroying itself by becoming a “far leftist only” (no moderates and no conservatives) political party, and they don’t, even, know that, yet. The GOP should of stayed put as a conservative only political party, instead of practicing being a “big tent political party” as well as having some within itself practice RINO Republicanism, instead of, always, practicing Conservative Republicanism.

She was told, plain and simple, Shut Up Now, or we will cut off the OPM to your District and get someone who will do as they’re told to replace you in 2 years.
