Most of the Northeastern United States feels like Siberia proper now due to a blast of Arctic air that is pushing temperatures 15 to 25 levels colder below craze. The chilly weather will be supplied by a burst of arctic air that manufactured locally blinding snow squalls throughout elements of the inside Northeast on Wednesday. The squalls diminished to spotty flurries south and east of the Appalachians.

Here I had always thought that climate was over decades, centuries or even millennia. Instead it is over the first half of a four day weekend. Learn something new every day.

Where I now live, in 1976, was brutally cold, windy, ice and snow. Thanksgiving day was so cold we could not go deer hunting. Then whole week was some of the worse cold weather I can ever remember.

It was used as “Proof” we were entering a new Ice Age.

You need to fix the title as 150 decades is 1500 years, not 150 years. 8>)

If I were a teenager in northern Maine I'd be dialing it up to about 85 deg about now, so this sounds like a good thing.

Unfortunately there will be more to come and whatever is triggering these crazy weather patterns pretty much world wide, has also been triggering an increase in earthquake activities as well as volcanic eruptions. After checking various historic accounts, my hunch is that once again we may be looking at a repetition or anniversary of the 3600 signature cycle which last time triggered the Ten Plagues (1500 B.C.)(1500 + 2018=3518 approx.) and drove the then Pharaoh nuts and resulted in the release of the Jews from captivity and became known as the Exodus.

The catch is that these plagues in some form or another were not just limited to ancient Egypt but from some not easily obtainable records we find that ancient China had suffered from them as well. If this is the case and will materialize all we can hope for is that this cycle will be less destructive. Aside from that I believe that Global Warming will be the least of our problem.

Going for a walk yesterday (Metro Detroit northwest) it sure felt like the coldest Thanksgiving I could remember. I looked it up after the walk. The temp was 21. It was windy and felt very, very cold.

It would be nice to see the frigid weather dip down to the southern border to cool off the invading hoard. Like to see if Soros foots the bill for North Face gear for each of them.

It was amusing to see all the dancers in the Macy parade clumping around in seven layers of down and Goretex.

I was supposed to host Thanksgiving, and my heating system just quit at around 2am Thanksgiving morning. Emergency HVAC people couldn't do anything to fix it, and I had to cancel (moved to another venue). I have ceramic and quartz heaters going, but it's not doing the trick. Not to mention what the new heating system is going to cost.

The other heaters should at least prevent pipes from freezing; open cabinets etc. with pipes within them.

Sheesh, I didn’t have it nearly as bad. I came home to a warm house and cranked up the gas fireplace for good measure. I hope you make it through, neverevergiveup. It was much warmer here today...mid 40’s...although I had to work.
