The NY Supreme Court only has one judge?
I’m sure its strictly coincidental all the Justices are Democrats.
In New York State, the Supreme Court is supreme only in the sense that it is a ‘universal’ trial court, in that all civil matters may be heard there. It is the ‘lowest’ level court, with two appellate courts above it: the Appellate Division and the Court of Appeals, the latter being the state’s highest court.
There are hundreds of Supreme Court judges in New York State.
