FR and DU are also social media. Total violation of First Amendment rights.
True. And, am I (or anyone) supposed to remember the once-every-few-months posts I drop on YouTube or Disqus?
The Chinese have a more comprehensive solution, I read: They watch everything, and fold it into your "social score."
“FR and DU are also social media. Total violation of First Amendment rights.”
I’ve never thought of FR as social media. I think of it as News Aggregation. I don’t personally know anybody on here as far as I am aware and I don’t want to socialize with some of the crazies.
So what’s the definition of “social media”? What’s the common definition and more importantly, what’s the legal definition?
If FR is social media because of the comments, what about the comments section of newspapers and magazines, both hard copy and online? Will that make them social media, if they aren’t already?
How are they going to get search history? What about those who don’t keep search history? If I have to develop one, it’s not going to contain anything they won’t like.
