I've never heard of them before, although they have been around for decades. Frederick Kempe is the current President and CEO of the Atlantic Council. Some on Wikipedia have the opinion it is a mouthpiece for the CIA, since it is made up largely by former CIA employees, as from the Wikipedia talk page on them atTalk:Atlantic Council - Article is extremely biased and lacks much needed criticism. Searching on google for the Atlantic Council on FR shows the low opinion of them is shared here as well.
