Almost all of the 50’s US cars for hire in Havana have that mod. The wife and I took a tour of Havana and it’s ‘burbs two years ago in a 1958 Pontiac Bonneville converible that was decently restored with brand new interior. I was 11 when that car was new and one of our older cousins had a Pontiac/Cadillac dealership in Pottstown, PA, so I remember when that model was on the showroom floor. The owner told me that a plate was made to mate the original automatic trans to the diesel motor. The engine was very quiet and shifts were smooth although we’re not talking interstate speeds on that island. The ride was floaty and the trip was quite pleasant with the top down. Most younger Americans would be horrified because Cuba never had a, what you call it? EPA?
I still can’t get over that. Looks like a massive Leftist No-Load.
Isn’t this before PDJT talked about the birther thing the wookie keeps crying about?
