GM was dead to me when they stole our tax dollars for the 2009 Bailout. They are still dead to me. I hope the company will go under. Sympathy for their workers? Nope. Not until the factories and intellectual property are sold off to a company that is not stealing from productive Americans.
Read the article....don’t be misled....
Well, looks like the Democrats are back in town.
I’m sure Michael Moore is getting ready to make his new documentary “Mary and Me”. /s
I see this, in a way, as government getting out of industry. I guess this is proof that Socialism is a failure.
But, but, but I thought the Unions would protect jobs.....oh, wait. The Union owns the company.
But Obama told us bin Laden is dead and GM is alive, as his reelection slogan. Could GM still go under eventually?
Why are autonomous cars necessary?
*Someone* will have the power to override the computer, but that someone will not be the driver. Maybe some Antifa-google employee? Maybe he’ll be making decisions about where I can go?
Imagine an airplane with autopilot, but no controls for the actual professionals flying it. So the pilot on board, who has a stake in the plane getting safely to its destination, won’t be on board.
The whole scenario is anti-freedom, and potentially terrifying.
Let them all go to work for the Democrat Party.
Theyve been paying them for years.
This is NOT really an issue since MORE JOBS than they have workers to fill them currently exist.
GM = GOVERNMENT Motors
Sorry for anyone losing job. When this auto maker was propped up by tax dollars this eventual correction was set in motion and bound to happen.
Didn’t Obama save GM or something ..while taking out bin laden ?
The ex workers of Saturn are probably saying “It’s about time you finally got yours!”
I just got back from the AZ International Car Show.
GM had nothing worthwhile to look at in the reasonably priced cars.
Ford and Chrysler were the same.
Hyandi has grabbed that entire market with better cars and better quality.
How big of a market is there for 700hp cars?
The NA referred to is in Canada where all of the jobs will be lost.
I read an earlier article that said these GM
jobs were in CANADA. This one says North America. Lol
Let me tell you something about department managers in manufacturing plants. Each manager wants to build an empire and will threaten, hassle or bribe the human relations manager to add mid-managers and more personnel to his department. A weak HR guy will give into the pressure. The cost of additional personnel increases the cost of doing business and soon the company is no longer competitive.
So a grand strategy is received from corporate Hq to lay off people. Now if you lay off too many hourly personnel you go out of business. No one to do the work. Who gets laid off? Right, those mid-managers and others hired to make the department manager look good. CEO’s need to hire only tough Human Resource managers who will keep the company goal of making a profit in the forefront and make your company lean and mean when it comes to the organizational chart.
Focus more on autonomous and electric vehicles ,did the Dems tell GM they plan a Law to make people buy this crap
Define “North America”. Most Morons reading this will think it means The United States, thus making it Trump’s fault.
