Soybean yield per acre in Illinois is averaging 10% higher than last year. This poor sop must be catching all the bad breaks weather-wise.

I wonder what the drainage of the area where he planted his soybeans is? Insufficient drainage allows ponding and the “drowning” of the seeds before they germinate. If that is the problem, then he needs to put in some tile to solve his problem with ‘climate change.’

His farm might just be the lowest ground in the county and is a boom during dry years, marginal during normal rain and a disaster during rainy seasons.
