This was a horrible deal if what the article says is true, but it parallels a similar Clinton Administration deal that led to AG Janet Reno quashing over 200 indictments against the mobbed-up Laborers International Union of No. America (LIUNA). That deal destroyed years of undercover work by members of an Organized Crime Task Force run by the US Attorney for the So. District of NY, Mary Jo White which would have seized the assets of the union because they were used in the commission of crimes or to plant crimes.
This sordid story was published in “The American Spectator”, April 1997, “Let’s Be Friends: A Mob-Controlled Union Delivers the Goods for Bill”, by Byron York, those “goods being about $3 MILLION to the Clintons and the Democrats for campaign funding, etc.
In exchange, the Union was not seized by the DOJ, and it got $30M in training grants, according to York and his research shows just how corrupt the Clinton Administration was.
There should have been no deal with Epstein if they had good evidence of his crimes, just as LIUNA should not have escaped being seized by the government for its criminal activities on behalf of Organized Crime.
Bad deals all around and justice denied.
