It’s only been in recent years that this notion that voting fraud is rare has been pushed. Those with long memories know that Democrat voting fraud is legendary. Even as far back as the 1960s the rule was Republicans had to make up millions of “votes” just to break even in the popular vote. Lots of people point to the Kennedy vs. Nixon election of 1960 and Chicago, but Illinois alone wasn’t enough. “Landslide Lyndon” helped deliver Texas, and I seem to recall reading something about West Virginia.
Voting fraud should be a capital offense, or near enough.
If someone stood in the doorway and prevented me from voting, or denied me registration because of which party I supported, it would be an outrage. When someone not qualified votes, or false votes are counted, my vote is cancelled out, and the result is the same. This is not a petty crime.
