Burke, who is the City Council Finance Committee chairman in Chicago
It’s more likely that he’s just another Chicago Dem criminal. They just had to make it about Trump
Welcome to Nazi Amerika! They’re not just ‘RATS anymore!
USSR again.
I’ll take Mueller and his corrupt band of attorneys, plus possibly some of the old Lois Lerner/Kokishen IRS crooks old crew.
Doubt if the feds would have anything to do with the Chicago locals since they are just as corrupt as anyone else.
This is “fishing” out of desperation, trying to get anything even with Trump’s name on it, just in time for the House Dems to start “impeachment” hearings.
Talk about the corrupt Mueller gang helping out the Democrat Party. Where I come from, that is illegal but the law DOES NOT apply to these people.
Perhaps a new Attorney General with 4 balls will convene a grand jury and look into ALL the COLLUSION between Comey, Mueller, Brennan, Clapper, and the Dems in Congress and Hillary’s Criminal Gang with the GPS-Dossiergate Crew.
Now that would be something to see. Maybe that is the only way to get any truth about of the most corrupt FBI/DOJ/Congressional and Dem Party machine organizations in the history of the United States.
Boss Tweed is pissing in his grave with envy over how they pulled off all these treasonous acts and never had to really testify in court.
The Fix was in from the beginning. Bernard Malamud is going to have to write a new book, “The Fixer, Part II” and issue it in several volumes because it would be so huge no one could hold just one book with all of the information in it without breaking their wrists.
Trump, the new Acting AG, and the few Republicans in Congress who have any balls, to ACT NOW with many new hearings, subpoenas, FBI raids on Dem operations, GPS’s office, Hillary’s home, offices, outhouses, and those of everyone I mentioned above.
Tie them up in so many subpoena knots that they will start to jump off of roofs because they would know that their corrupt games are up.
Huh?
We always bury our heads and then it is too late to strike first or even strike back.
These people will stop at nothing to oust Trump.
We must push for the “investigation” to be shut down.
And Sessions really ####ed the country.
Mueller is a snake swallowing its tail.
He is very much about causing fear in the GOP. Time to fire the ba$tard.
Exactly. I gave up that naive belief 40 years ago.
How many examples do we have to see before we figure that out? Waco should have been enough.
I have never read or heard of the Feds raiding a Dem like this, have you?
Strange that this falls in the same time frame as the raid on the Whistle blower’s home or office.
Attorneys shouldnt get raided unles they are thought to be committing a crime. This practice puts way too much power in the hands of the government.
Exactly. The feds showed up at his city hall alderman office, not his private attorney office which is a separate building . Burke has been a classic Chicago DemonRat pol for nearly half a century and was raided in prior times but they could never get it to stick.
Cheatin' and DemonRat Chicago politician go hand in hand. Lest we forget they were on a roll not so long ago with three governors in a row going to the big house for corruption.
Otto Kerner, Jr. (D), governor from 1961 to 1968; Stratton's successor and later a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, was convicted of 17 counts of bribery, conspiracy, perjury, and income-tax charges from his time as governor, and received three years in prison and a $50,000 fine in 1973. He was prosecuted by future Illinois governor Jim Thompson.
Daniel Walker (D), governor from 1973 to 1977, was later involved in the savings and loan scandals and convicted of federal crimes related to fraudulent loans to himself from his own First American Savings & Loan Association of Oak Brook. He was sentenced to seven years in prison with five years of probation following his release.
George Ryan (R), governor from 1999 to 2003, was convicted in 2006 of corruption related to his time as Illinois Secretary of State in the 1990s, when commercial driver's licenses were issued to unqualified truckers in exchange for bribes, and one of the truckers was involved in a crash that killed six children. Former governor Jim Thompson, whom Ryan had served under as Lieutenant Governor of Illinois in the 1980s, was manager of the law firm that defended Ryan. Ryan was released in 2013.
Rod Blagojevich (D), governor from 2003 to 2009, and Ryan's successor, was impeached and removed from office by the Illinois General Assembly in a unanimous vote in January 2009 after being tied to multiple "pay to play" schemes, including attempting to sell the former Senate seat of then-President-elect Barack Obama. In August 2010, he was convicted of lying to the FBI in connection with the investigation, but the jury deadlocked on 23 other charges. Blagojevich was retried on 20 counts from his 2010 trial and on June 27, 2011, Blagojevich was convicted on 17 counts of fraud, acquitted on one count and the jury was hung on two. On December 7, 2011, Blagojevich was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
This is the Land of Lincoln and Chicago is the very bottom of that slimy pond.
Who really is your boss? Not your boss. The all-powerful federal government.
The federal gestapo enters your office, covers the windows, and tells you to leave. You don’t work for your boss. The communist ideal of complete government control of businesses is almost here.
On City Council since 1969.
I think this trouble he got into by himself.
They tried to get it BEFORE it was due.
