You’d be better off if you were cardless!

“Nowhere to go.”

That’s odd. I have a lot of people telling me where to go...
:D

“I’ve been cashless for most of my life!.”

I been dirt poor and I been reasonably well-off. Though I’m happy either way, being reasonably well off is the nicer of the two - usually.

I get that response sometimes.

Sure there are places I would like to go but I can’t see it for years to come.

A friend recently returned from Europe. When she tried to purchase something (food) with her credit card the purchase was disallowed. All her other cards, which she had not taken to EU, were also blocked. Occurred a couple days ago so I don’t know the follow up information.

Save your cash folks

What do we pay the damn ‘intelligence services’ for? Do they do anything other than play cowboys and Indians with Russians ... then do political ‘leaks’ to the jerks at the Washington Post?

How about they get off their butts and start protecting the country from cyber attacks? Earn their damn pay for once. Come on NSA, CIA, FBI and the other 17 ‘intelligence’ sinecure groups - do your job - protect the country from cyber attacks...

I think many of us stayed with her. Did she say you were the only one? She says that to everybody!

“I bet Marriot’s lawyers are slitting their wrist at the thought of how much in damages they’ll be paying out over this.”

I wouldn’t bet on it. I’ve been the victim of multiple large scale hacks and the only “compensation” i’ve received is lame a$$ credit monitoring (for a limited period of time).

I put a freeze on my credit years ago after it was obvious there was zero security and zero accountability.

My credit went to India once and bought a tank of gas. Lol. The credit card company called me ASAP and asked if it was me. Told them no and they sent me a new card.

Crap! We spend 2017 Christmas week at the Sheraton Waikiki. Don’t guess there is anything specific that I can do except watch my credit card on a daily basis. :<((((

You can probably ask your CC provider to issue a new card with a new number.

500 MILLION new cards to be issued to customers is a big job.

Even the postage will be around $250,000.

Sure, but the other 499,999,999 people aren’t relevant. You need a new card and can ask your provider for one. About 5 years ago one of my card numbers was hacked from some website that I used (no idea which, I used it a llot of places). My CC company figured it out themselves, stopped all the bad charges and sent me a new card with a new number on it without my lifting a finger. In your case you are going have to ask them for it.
