Texas was Democrat from 1848 through 1976. Texans didn't change, the Democrat party did, and so did the Republican party. The Grand Old Party is extinct. The Republicans are now the Democrats of the 1960s, and the Democrats are now the Socialists.
Socialism isn't bad when you aren't the one paying the majority of the taxes. All of us at Free Republic will be retired and of reduced income by the time the socialists seize control. Just keep your money out of 401K accounts because the socialists have their eyes on nationalizing them first.
