Years ago, my ex-wife ran a campaign in northern California to include traditional Christmas carols in the school pageants, plays, Christmas programs, etc.

She was religious and upset that the school administrations and department of education were switching to "winter soltace" neutral songs, containing no references to Christ or religious symbols.

Well, she won and for a few years, the schools and kids could celebrate Christmas in a traditional way.

I don't know how much longer it lasted but I have a idea the liberals in California overwhelmed the program and went back to eliminating any references to Christmas.

It is sad what liberals are doing to this country and the world.

Take all the Christian kids out of the pagan schools. At least boycott them as long as the Civil rights movement boycotted buses. The kids need their parents to stand.

I've often said that if we do exactly what they want, then the teachers should not be getting any time off at Christma time....none....

let the Christians take their kids out of school and celebrate.....

lets make Christmas what it should be...a joyous celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ....

It cost us a lot to do that.(Christian school.) It was worth it. Reaping still.
It is unconstitutional to separate my Christian dollars from me for a school that rejects my religion. Where is the freedom of religion?

Maybe we could add Blood-thirsty murdering inbred , woman abusing, filicide maniac ... to please muslimes & angst-ridden liberal gadflies. In the interest of diversity and for the children.

I was recently at a public high school sporting event and the student rock band did a song that contained the lyrics “side with the devil” (or possibly “ride with the devil”) repeated over and over. A teacher participated with the band off and on, maybe for that song but maybe only for other songs.

My kids do not and will not attend public school.

I agree with many here that this abuses the rights and feelings of Christian children, whose faith and culture is being treated as too offensive to include in a multi-cultural world. But from another perspective, the Anti-Jesus Song Police are DEPRIVING immigrant or non-Christian children of exposure to mainstream American culture. They don’t have to become Christians. Why did they come to the US if our culture offends them? This is the opposite of inclusiveness and diversity.

Jesus is common to almost all religions. Many view him as a prophet; while we know he is the son of God and our savior.
Therefore we should celebrate our cominality.

"Please stand up for the Child Jesus."

What hypocrites... If the parents won't "stand up for their own children" (which, since they have criminally abused them by incarcerating them in a government indoctrination institution, they do not, obviously) what chance is that they will "stand up for Jesus"?

Only liberals could exclude something and then call it more inclusive.

Ban all Federal Holidays except memorial day, independence day, and veterans day.

If you want a Holy Day of observance off, use a saved vacation day.

As far as our complex and modern Society understands there is a celebration of Ghoulish things day, that turkey day, a fat man in a red suit with a beard day, and a gigantic bunny that gives your kids a lot of sugar day. Indy 500 day, beer snd firecracker day, the day before school starts day, and... veterinarians day? Or is it Vegan day... V something..

It is truely pathetic.

To give some of you heart, the public middle school where I used to teach and now sub at today had a choir practice in front of the students. Both songs featured Jesus. So all is not lost—quite yet.

Fine. Excuse all Christian children from school for two weeks to celebrate Christmas, which is their First Amendment right as a “free exercise of religion.” The non-Christians, including the teaching staff, will go to classes as usual. Of course, the daily stipend of state attendance money that is given to the schools would take a severe hit, but that should matter, should it?

I am thankful that my daughtes attended Woolridge Elementary here in Chesterfield when the principle would.lead in the Christmas celebration. This county has gone the way of northern VA.
