Someone should educate this retard to show him there is no global warming. Maybe he’ll learn with the glaciers come down to Paris.

This is getting interesting over there. I understand that it has spread to Brussels also.

It appears to myself that some radical infiltrators have got into the fray now in France.

The problem here is that their assembly doesnt have the power to remove the president of the country. They can remove the Prime Minister. There is where Macron will lay the blame, being the little coward he is.

As I watched some of the videos, and noticed that in some confrontations that the police have been standing aside and letting the protesters through. Might be that there are some in the police that are starting to side with the protesters?
If so, then it will get ugly real fast.

The last time anarchy reigned in France a dictator took over. That resulted in a good many of the male population being killed in his wars.

An assault rifle was stolen from a police vehicle although it was unclear if it was loaded, AFP news agency quotes a police source as saying......

I just saw a phone vid of a guy sitting on a balcony pointing what looked high powered rifle with a scope on it.

He was in silhouette but wasn't wearing riot gear or helmet.

Who knows who it was, but the set up is reminiscent of the Kiev Maidan in 2014.

Lots of calls for Macron to step down...

Yes, it’s insane that they think people will just pony up and pay for such fake horse crap.

This carbon crap is already hitting me for at least 5k a year. I used to make fun of the idiots who believed this stuff in 06 and on. Now, I’m not laughing as it’s stealing from me.

Let’s hope sanity returns.

Common sense versus nonsense.

One protestor explained to the media that while some worry

“about the end of the world”

others like her have to worry

“about the end of the month”

12 times a year.

These high gas taxes make it harder for them to pay their bills and balance their budgets.

Interesting how Macron, the global elitist will use force against French protesters but never does anything to stop Muzzie riots in the French suburbs which happen on a regular basis.

Some facts that are ignored:

1. Climate is primarily determined by location.
2. Over time, climate will change. There are multiple factors for this. It's a long term thing and there is we may delay it, but we can't stop it.
3. Whether we are getting more output from the Sun, or less, no amount of money in the world can change that.
4. All 'policies' on 'climate change' are just attempts to steal money.
5. These world leaders have the power and money to hire the best scientific minds. They know that lower temperatures will be a problem. That's why they want your money. They are preparing for the future. Food storage, underground housing, armed protection, medical facilities, food production, etc.

The next worldwide revolution is three missed meals away.

“Paris Is Burning”

Hey, Paris may be burning. But the Media will applaud Macron as he lectures Trump on things he [Macron] knowns nothing about.

France, all of Europe for that matter, has always been insanely expensive. So, there has to be more to it than this.

“President Emmanuel Macron says his fuel policies are needed to combat global warming.”

Bullhockey. The myth of global warming is simply the excuse to implement fuel and other policies that enrich the elite such as Macron.

But even some French are catching on to the scam.

Even if he had a 100% approval rating France is still toast.

Macaroon’s approval rating was down to 25% in mid November. Must be even lower now.

“Agence France Presse (AFP) reported that an Ifop poll published in the Journal du Dimanche showed 25 percent of the country approves of Macron, down four percentage points from an October poll. “

What doesn’t get brought up...there were two tax increases. A mild one for gas-cars....a more hyped-up one for diesel cars. Well, more than 70-percent of the cars registered in France, are diesel. It’s something like 28-cents on a gallon of diesel that this added up to.

The effect on truck-drivers? Same story. In their case, they were going to pass the cost onto the consumer. So down the line, you were looking at grocery and food prices escalating by spring of 2019.

The enthusiasm of the police to enforce stability? I would suggest that they are also owning diesel cars and facing the same tax. They aren’t happy either.

I highly doubt this is about “fuel taxes.” Probably more like the French have had enough of the rapefugee invasion.

The interesting thing is, these added taxes are within the range of fuel price swings sometimes seen in the US, and I have a hard time believing the French are in general as dependent on auto driving than we are in the US. (It’d definitely be interesting to compare distances driven per year, per capita.)

OTOH, fuel starts off much higher in much of Europe, than in the US, largely balanced by higher mpg vehicles. (One calculator I saw for France assumed 47 mpg.)

All in all, it seems to me the French fuel tax increases are likely just the tip of the iceberg beneath these protests.

French GDP (like much of Western Europe) has really stunk it up since 2008. The population is growing (albeit slowly, and mostly due to Muslim immigrants), taxes and cost of living are high, and there is no end in sight to the slide, if the greenie-Socialist-labor agenda continues to prevail. The only possible source of solid economic growth that I can see under these constraints would be to build a slew of new nuclear power plants, beef up the electric grid “big time”, and sell vastly increased amounts of electricity to Germany, etc. — if that is even cost effective. Otherwise, in the long run I think you have “Venezuela” in slow motion, but with a native population that expects a whole lot better.

If Trump REALLY wanted to slam Macron, Trump would tweet out relative fuel prices (and maybe a few other things, too, now and then), US vs. France, once every couple days.

Granted, then an accusation of Trump “inciting violence” might actually hold some water!
