Chinese state TV says agreement has been reached with the US not to impose any additional trade tariffs after 1 January and talks will go on.

It made the announcement after US President Donald Trump met China's President Xi Jinping for the first time since a trade war erupted this year.

Both a Trump adviser and Chinese media said earlier that talks after the G20 summit in Buenos Aires had gone well.

At the summit earlier on Saturday, the G20 leaders agreed a joint declaration. The document notes divisions over trade but does not criticise protectionist activity...

I don’t like it because I think China is a serious threat.

Holding an option to buy is less costly than buying. Real estate financing 101.

Man up, y’all, and leave the crap made in China on the shelf. We can’t expect Donald to do all the heavy lifting if we can’t even put our money where our pie holes are, aye?

Values can require sacrifice. Do it.

They’ve had since 1990.

Why will a couple of months, make a bit of difference?

Trump is being badly snowed here.

Big time.

I agree.

There are a bunch of Americans here, and in markets, who are ready to sell China everything they need to take over markets around the world. They have been doing exactly that, for the entire last generation and a half.

Those people, are a threat to America. A real threat.

In addition to China. They are enabling China.

Yup....He is an expert on the economy...but he also listens...

I like that he wrestles with himself. I do that when making a decision...because most decisions have pluses and minuses....and the solution is to come.

” I do that when making a decision...because most decisions have pluses and minuses....and the solution is to come. “

I completely agree. People have a tendency to ask why someone made a particular decision, looking for a single reason. When I make decisions, it’s often for several reasons.

Also, timing is critical. Some decisions need to be made right away; others do not. Sometimes it’s best to let things percolate in your brain when, all of a sudden, an opportunity and a decision present themselves.

Thinking that North Korea has been cheating too but Trump has made progress with them. Maybe China too? Here’s hoping.

North Korea does not have five times, America’s population.

China is unique. And the way so many have been completely selling out to China, for so many years, is truly alarming.

I think Trump needs to drop this stalling, and ACT.

For the entire last generation and a half, everyone has been stalling.

Everyone.

Every. Single. Person.

Now I go to Walmart, and almost every single thing for sale there, which is manufactured, was made in CHINA. And it is not just Walmart. Every single store, is the same.

Our tools are now all made in China. Our machines. Our things. Our gadgets. Our computers. Our phones. Our tablets. GM now makes more cars in China than in America. (I think)

I know, not (literally) everything. But close enough.

Yet we all continue to sell out, and sell out, and sell out to China.

Everyone.

Every single person.

Trump, you were the guy. What in the world happened??

No, but they do have the ability to make trouble. Serious trouble. What do you think China might do if we are at war with North Korea.

I agree with you though. We need to reestablish manufacturing here in the US. It is an uphill battle though. Americans like cheap junk.

More importantly, there is a huge section of our “establishment” who are holding a significant financial stake in China.

Minority control, but there is definitely financial interests, that a lot of them hold in China.

Our establishment, is Chinese.

Not all by race. But financially, completely.

Both parties. Everyone. I really don’t know who will do a thing to bring things back to America.

Trump was going, to do this.

If he can’t, or won’t, we are SCREWED.

Seriously.

Maybe I should stop posting for a couple of days.

This is very, very discouraging.
