Moments make a man. George H.W. Bush had more big moments than most men.
At just 20 years old, Navy Lt. Bush was dive-bombing Japanese targets in the South Pacific when enemy fire shredded his plane. He bailed out, his head careening off the horizontal stabilizer.
He tried to tell his two fellow crewmen to jump as well, but he never knew if they heard him. Neither of them lived. Bush never got over the guilt he felt.
When the young pilot hit the water, he inflated his flotation device and then broke down and cried. He thought about his family. He was scared to death. Suddenly, a Japanese boat bore down on him, but the threat was thwarted when a plane from Bushs division strafed the enemy.
A few hours later, a submarine emerged next to the young flyer. As he described it, I saw this thing coming out of the water and I said to myself, Jeez, I hope its one of ours.

George H.W. Bush was a man of character and decency. His remarkable life more than his politics shaped his worldview. That is why men and women of all political stripes are shedding a tear for him. And they should. George Bush devoted nearly his entire adult life to the service of his country. This moment belongs to him.
Moments up lets move on. He is a new world order demon
Thank you, Mr. President, for your military service and your decency.
I will hold my criticism of your Globalist views and your derailing of Reaganism for another time.
In hindsight he did us a favor by blurting out that there was actually such a thing as the New World Order.
Made it hard to dismiss us as conspiracy kooks after that.
“Read my lips” and “New World Order” tipped his hand as to what he was all about
That said, I was disappointed to hear his son say what made his presidency special was that he said it should not be about him, but rather about what good things could be done for America and the American people. Yet, Mr. 43 openly shows a nasty attitude toward President Trump as he stands hugging Clinton and Obama.
He was in favor of a New World Order. It’s all about the elites remaining the elites. Let’s just move on.
He didn’t remember where he was when JFK was shot.
Another platitude filled screed? With no ‘barforama’ notice.
I think it was bush the younger that used the ‘mission accomplished’ banner.
I lost track of the number of weekend news stories which stated that George W. Bush had died.
Whether that was sheer laziness or projection is hard to say.
Who with his entire family did everything they could to destroy President Trump & he supported and voted for Hillary.
It is not decent to turn the USA into North Mexico against the wishes of the citizens in order to subsume the USA to the UN.
Had President Bush served a second term as beneficiary of the great economy Clinton has been credited for, I am am sure that his critics would be far fewer. Likewise, the possibility of the Clinton duo still operating would be significantly less. GHW Bush was a great and good man, the last of the “greatest generation” leaders.
I’m in agreement with your “New World Order” statement.
I was watching a Brit history documentary about Hitler. And somewhere in his speeches he actually used the term “New World Order”. Hitler obviously meant he would create this new world order which was defeated in WWII.
Now the next batch of power hungry zealots are trying it out, and Bush was so proud of it he had to say it, just like Hitler. Since then all of Western civilization has been in chaos, with it spiking both at our southern border and in Paris as I write this.
Being a believer in history, it appears the only way we can get this to end is the same way Hitler’s new world order ended.

Yep. Google “Prescott Bush - Nazi Germany”
