If we cut off the Pentagon, and all its affiliated services, we would have no more of a country than Syria or Libya is today. Overrun from every direction, there would be no economic base to provide even minimal funding for medical services, let alone the infrastructure to deliver those services.
Killing the guard dogs that protect the goose that lays all the golden eggs is very poor allocation of resources.
Defense of the homeland is a Constitutional duty. Providing a “health services card” for every resident within a specified geographic region is not. And even so, the “health services card” is not, in fact, assurance that meaningful medical services will be provided, and certainly not on a timely basis, if at all.
