Corsi files criminal complaint against Mueller, alleges bid to seek false testimony

Conservative author Jerome Corsi on Monday filed a “criminal and ethics complaint” against Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team, accusing investigators of trying to bully him into giving “false testimony” against President Trump.

The complaint, which Corsi had threatened for days, is the latest escalation between Mueller’s team and its investigation targets.

The 78-page document, asserting the existence of a “slow-motion coup against the president,” was filed to a range of top law enforcement officials including Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, D.C.’s U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu and the Bar Disciplinary Counsel.

“Dr. Corsi has been criminally threatened and coerced to tell a lie and call it the truth,” the complaint states.

Once Mueller ends his investigation he can’t cry obstruction of justice if DoJ goes after him.

There is no need to fire him.

IMO Mueller is stalling for that very reason and I’m betting that the democrats want Mueller fired so they can scream obstruction of justice.

President Trump knows what he’s doing.

Yes, but this is a FEDERAL issue and it appears that an individual cannot formally file a federal criminal complaint with a court. In Corsi's case, this may be more of a layman's use of "complaint" since the articles say the document is filed with the Acting AG, US Atty, DOJ Inspector General, etc. I am no lawyer, but it appears that Corsi cannot literally initiate a "criminal complaint" in court before a federal judge -- he has to convince one or more of the parties above (capable of actually filing a legal "criminal complaint") to take it to court. At least this is how it appears from a quick web search:

"As one of many English traditions exported to colonial America, private prosecutions predate the establishment of the United States. But the ability to prosecute privately does not apply in every state, nor does it extend to federal crimes. In 1981, the United States Supreme Court held that a private individual does not have a constitutional right to private prosecution. Because of this Supreme Court ruling, and because Congress has not passed laws providing for private prosecution, a private person does not have the right in federal court to prosecute an offense or hire an attorney to pursue a criminal case on the private person’s behalf." This is why Mueller may try to stall for YEARS.... as long as he pretends to have an open investigation he tries to postpone any Day of Reckoning for his own team.

Of course, at some point the DOJ/AG may finally come down hard on him.

Jerome Corsi wrote “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry”, “The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality”, and “Where’s the Birth Certificate?: The Case That Barack Obama Is Not Eligible to Be President”. The lefties have been trying to find a way to “get” him ever since.

Private citizens do not “file criminal complaints”

“However, the FBI (and I assume by proxy the DOJ) has a policy to not allow any recordings other than the notes taken by their agents.”

Which yet another reason why a target should never talk to a federal agent or law enforcement. They don’t record interviews, so they can make anything up in their report. Why did Corsi talk to the feds in the first place?

Prosecutors have too much power and no accountability; we can’t trust the justice system at this point. Also, those serving as jurors must be willing to closely scrutinize the process and opt for jury nullification when necessary.

We have a fascist dictator at the head of the FBI. He would have been good at the KGB.

If it became blatantly obvious that Mueller’s actions are in fact a delaying tactic a lawsuit could result in a federal judge issuing an order for him to end his investigation (aka “sh-t or get off etc etc).

A lawsuit would be the venue for that.

Why did Corsi talk to the feds in the first place?

Because frankly, Dr. Corsi is an idiot. Either that, or his legal counsel is incompetent.

"...only prosecuting agencies file criminal complaints..."

That has long seemed to be possible Obstruction of Justice to me.

That would seem to be a Police State Policy.

You are right. Corsi is not a conservative, he is an agent provocateur. But he deserves our support in this.

Amazes me this has not been done before. As far as I’m concerned, everything Mueller and those behind him have been doing falls under sedition. They damn well know this Trump/Russia collusion stuff is utter BS, but they don’t care. Their whole agenda is to overthrow this administration which falls under sedition which carries a 20 year jail sentence.

It is because the system is corrupt and there is plenty of money to spread around when someone is sent to prison. There are a lot of innocent people taking plea bargains because they do not have the financial resources to take on the govt.

Someone I know went through this process, and had to take a plea that ruined their life. I have completely changed my opinion about these matters. I find it disheartening when I see (some) freepers automatically assume the accused is guilty.

he should not be called conservative unless every liberal is tagged with the label liberal."

""Beware of the Criminal Justice System".
"It is a corrupt system, which is less interested in justice as it is in money and seemingly indomitable power over the citizen."

Absolutely.... I wonder how much money (total) the state and the federal governments pay lawyers to defend those poor dope dealers and such..? I'll bet that's where the real money is in narcotics... Maybe that's the reason we can't get a wall... the lawyers would lose to much money... The stinking lawyers always win, even when they lose...

“We cannot let Mueller get away with everything.”

He has so far, why not everything else?

He is an entity “investigating” the President.

There is no evidence of a crime having been committed, only an allegation that the President is a “traitor”, as stated by a CIA guy, based upon a dubious “dossier”, bought and paid for by a Democrat candidate for President, published in the press as evidence of a crime, that is alleged to have been committed in the dossier, while the evidence for it still needs to be found, while the allegation of a crime having been commited is still the basis for an investigation based on a dossier, the information for which was gathered by a citizen of a foreign country;

in other words a circular circle jerk (please forgive the expression), put forth by a bunch of Democrat operatives laughing their backsides off behind the scenes.

(not to mention search warrants being executed in the early hours of the day, which do not mention the specific items to be seized or where they are to be found, only a nebulous objective of “take it all and we’ll see what we can find”.)

Just saying.

IMHO
