This is typically how prosecutors operate, threatening, bullying, terrorizing defendants into plea bargains, even when there is exculpatory evidence, which they hide, and they know the poor victim has done nothing wrong. I have said it here, and many other places, corruption begins at the local level, long before these people make it high places in DC. You want to know why we have the highest incarceration rate in the world? It is because the system is corrupt and there is plenty of money to spread around when someone is sent to prison. There are a lot of innocent people taking plea bargains because they do not have the financial resources to take on the govt. I am glad Dr. Corsi decided to stand up to these people and expose them. I just hope that somehow it can be shown that this problem is endemic in this country.

I am not sure how correct you are but I know in 100% of the times I’ve been involved (1 time) with law enforcement they had threatened me with more charges unless I pleaded guilty to the ones I had.

I told them to go ahead and do it... because when I proved I was not even present at the time of the alleged ‘crime’ it will also prove I could not possible have committed ‘disturbing the peace’ somewhere where I was not present.

I agree with your insight. Eisenhower warned us of the 'Military Industrial Complex'. We need to add a similar warning today, "Beware of the Criminal Justice System".

It is a corrupt system, which is less interested in justice as it is in money and seemingly indomitable power over the citizen.

I pray there arise people in government that will begin putting criminals like Mueller in prison. It would do me good to see corrupt government officials like Mueller, the Clintons, the Obamas' etc., who believe they are untouchable - placed in prison or hung for treason.

I believe only when we start imprisoning deep state elites, will we see needed change in our nation.

The ugly, dirty truth is that this is standard procedure in our justice system. Guilt doesn't matter, the prosecutor's goal is to "win" regardless of your innocence. Anything goes. Threats, intimidation, lying, anything. They will go after family, friends, job, reputation, your financial well being. Prosecutors and Police are worshiped as pillars of society and guilt is presumed. Refuse a plea deal at your own peril, unless you are rich and connected...

It's hard to agree with those who claim the USA has the best justice system in the world. It looks great on paper though...

This is the problem - everybody is OK with prosecutors crushing people like this when they don’t like the person on the receiving end. So unless politicians are willing to stand up for people they don’t like and risk looking weak in “law and order” issues this will continue indefinitely.

Someone I know went through this process, and had to take a plea that ruined their life. I have completely changed my opinion about these matters. I find it disheartening when I see (some) freepers automatically assume the accused is guilty.
