I have a mixed race adopted daughter. When she went to college there was an insistence that she attend the black student union group stuff. She lasted one meeting.

She was an LLbean Mainer. She didn’t fit the mold. Some of the kids were equal to her socioeconomically but thought they needed to capture their blackness. Brainwashing works.
