Citizens of the US/EU are like team members on a football/soccer team, whereas the ruling political parties are equivalent to ownership and management. The average career in the NFL is 3 years; within 10 years, maybe only one player is left from the original roster. (For example, Tom Brady.)
Do ownership, management, fans and TV networks care? No, because the imagery & symbolism of the team is all that counts, not the actual physical make-up of the individual members & players. That is, there is constant turnover, substitution and replacement that takes place on a consistent cycle.
To the uni-party, politicians don't care who actually comprises the electorate, or who actually represents the USA. To insiders, their assigned roles are (a) DNC = workers and (b) RNC = capitalists. It doesn't matter a whit whether this characterization is true or not. All that matters is traditional identity and party allegiance.
This is why the GOP is in favor of open borders. It doesn't matter who actually comprises the (permanent) 'capitalist' minority (ie savers, investors, morally upstanding people, etc), as long as elected GOP politicians have a place at the table to leverage their connections and pay-offs.
FR caters to those who actually believe(d) the patriotic lies - cue Otter in Animal House "you fvcked up, you trusted us". Trump identified this sentiment and rode it to the WH. In order for Trump - or anyone else - to reverse the course this country has been on since post WWII would literally take a civil war. No way is Trump willing to go there, so it's actually all over except for the crying.
I have my opinions about the Bushes. However....there is no country on God’s green earth that can hold a candle to our final farewell to a president. It was a beautiful service and I thank you so much for posting the photos.
Do you happen to know the schedule for tomorrow and what will be televised?
