Very few people were in good enough shape at 60 back then. Much less a chamber full of 80+yr olds who’ve been there 40+ years. Before antibiotics, heart surgery, chemotherapy, dialysis/etc the odds that many ‘someones’ would have simultaneously lived to be 80+ were very small.
The founding fathers could not have anticipated this.
Never thought of life spans, but you are correct the founders could never have known how long people would live at that time!!!!
