The issue is he KNOWS, with Certainty, it will not pass the Senate, and that no bill resembling it will be voted out of the House, where revenue/budget bills must originate.
He’s grandstanding, for real, not just a meme.
And he still has a well earned reputation for these symbolic and futile self-aggrandizing acts.

FReepers keep demanding for a bill to fund the wall, and then when one comes up, what do I read? It will not pass, so let’s just keep damning the legislator who pushes it.
