We Voted for Trump to Save the Country the Bush Family Represents

RUSH: Here is Patrick in Brecksville, Ohio. Great to have you, sir.

CALLER: Hi, Rush. How are you? Mega dittos, 1991 dittos. You know, with the Bush funeral, I’ve had a real hard time, you know, kind of feeling my normal grief or normal respect for him. I respect him. I think he was a fantastic man. But given how cynical I’ve become on so many things and sort of his lack of fighting back and what the Republicans have done over the last 40 years, I find it really hard now to have as much, you know, respect or grief. It’s certainly like, you know, I didn’t feel like the way I did when Reagan passed.

It kind of troubles me, but I think it ties into where we’re at today. I think it ties into Trump. You know, and I almost hold — I don’t identify as a Republican anymore, but I almost hold them more responsible than the liberals. Liberals are what they are. We know we’re not gonna get anything from them. When I call my congressman on the right, you know, Republicans, and you get basically the same treatment from the liberals, there’s no fighting back, you know, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, I mean —

RUSH: Well, see, wait. Let me stop you because this is exactly what’s being praised. And this is what’s phony about it. They’re praising the Bushes both for not fighting back, basically allow the left to steamroll. Bush changed his —

RUSH: — take on taxes. That’s what they’re praising as bipartisanship. That’s what they’re praising as an era gone by, when we could work with Republicans, when Republicans agreed to lose, when Republicans agreed to let us win. That isn’t Trump. And I’ll go so far, I think what you’re trying to say — and correct me if I’m wrong, but I think what you’re trying to say is that, in truth, the reluctance of not just the Bushes — there’s a lot of Republican elected people that didn’t want to fight back ’cause they’re scared to death of the media. Didn’t to want fight back against Obama because they’re scared of being charged racist. And that lack, that reluctance is what gave us Trump.

CALLER: Precisely.

RUSH: There you go.

I don't disagree with anything you express. I think back to when EPCOT first opened, and in one of the Future displays, the statement was made that in the future 10% of the people can do 90% of the necessary work. The problem was how to keep people productive and civilized.

Intentionally lowering IQ might seem to be a solution to a controllable population. But at what cost to the elite? Look at European Monarchy and the results of a too finely-bred social group. Now they've got leaders who don't even breed.

It's interesting to speculate what the end game is. I fear the future of mankind is Idiocracy.

Well, I actually have a slightly different take on things, which is why I fight alongside Trump & populists for the common man, rather than insulate myself among the GOPe in order to put distance between me & deplorables.

The reason is this: I believe the rate of technological advances and human knowledge doubles every generation. With this rate of trajectory, humanity is close in the realms of genetic engineering and quantum computing to create completely new virtual environments.

For instance, what good does it do to import low IQ people when the advent of gene therapy in the regions of brain research will eventually be able to diagnose and apply solutions to increased brain growth and/or cognitive functions? Likewise, what use is it to promote historically disadvantaged (read: losers) races, genders, religions, etc, when the same kinds of genetic applications will allow people to pick and choose any style and/or orientation subject to evolving standards of beauty? In other words, a few generations from now, everyone may very well choose to look like blonde Swedes.

Secondly, massive, almost unquantifiable leaps in computing power will render null the need to actually experience something as the benchmark record. IOW, I'd guess 80% of energy consumption is just getting physically to and fro, when it can easily be replaced by simply virtually "being there" in mind & spirit. This of course could extend to any human activity, whether it be scoring tail, traveling to Europe, skiing down the Rockies, etc.

Finally, combine both advances in DNA knowledge of how the brain operates along with sufficient computing power, and we will have an entirely new species of mankind. And this version will be able to take to space to explore the stars ...

Anyway, the global elite aren't really that smart, because they're not thinking in terms of human potential. Rather, like any plodder, they're stuck thinking within existing structural constraints: Euros/Americans consume too much, they need to cut back. Oh, look, they're rioting again and refuse to listen to reason. Well, then we'll swap them out for someone who will listen to us - that will fix their wagon. And so on.
