Remember, the left is particularly good at lying to themselves. Many of them believe their agitprop.

It won't happen while Conservative hold the government, or even just the executive branch, because the left, more than life itself, believes in using government power to get what they want.

But the right circumstance... some of them are more than self-deluded enough to do it.
This strategy of incrementalism might have worked, but the left became too self-confident in the inevitability of their path to control, and they showed their hand too soon. They can't put the genie back in the bottle. Their agenda and tactics are now common knowledge, and their ‘element of stealth and surprise’ is gone.

That’s the old donks. This new crop of indoctrinated 20-30-nothings want what they want when they want it and they want it now.
If the young cadre overthrows the old guard, they’ll push for disarmament immediately. They’ve shown contempt for the 1st. Why would they go slow on the 2nd? They despise due process. They honor results regardless of means and a stolen election is justified by their ascent to power.
Lucky for us we have a volunteer military and most cops are not total thugs.
