First the were inundated with bung bandits now they are plagued with porch pirates. Maybe SF is just a magnet for this lot

We have the Amazon boxes at our local Safeway. Check your supermarkets.

I take my greeting cards to the post office and get a receipt. It’s all coded so if that item goes missing it can be tracked.

How do you know the nest doorbell is better? Did you have a ring before? Based upon what you said about the nest doorbell, it does everything the ring does.

The thermostat is fine, although it doesn’t have HomeKit capability, so I can’t ask Siri what the inside temp is or to alter it. I can still use my phone to change settings of course. Honeywell has one just like it and it does support HomeKit. It think it less expensive as well.

I would guess it’s easy

Find a UPS truck and follow it.

Back in 1965, We were in SanFrancisco while processing for assignment to Manila. We were poor but had a red VW Beetle. We followed a Grayline tour bus and saw all the sights for free.

It is a no brainer to extrapolate to following a UPS van

Thanks C19fan. Quibble -- porch piracy isn't a San Francisco value, butt piracy is.

Someone brought up the idea of Amazon lockers as a way to foil porch pirates. I not only agree, I used Amazon lockers as a unique way of delivering a white elephant gift.

well, glittering because of all the puddles of shattered glass from car break-ins.

Wait, wait, wait... - what about the 'glittering' from wet urine deposited by the sacred homeless and drug addicts - former much loved 'victim groups' of liberal 'elites'? Have we forgotten them?

My close bud has 3000 feedbacks, with one asshole giving the negative feedback. You are right, there are dishonest crooks out there. he told me tons of stories about scam, buyers wanting refund for a “hole” when he’s 99.99% sure he sent him the shirt in excellent condition etc.

From what he told me, even if they get a negative feedback for a stupid remark about delivery, it can be erased by the arrogant ‘quality assurance team’ who decide on which negative feedback will stay or go...

You are right, there are dishonest crooks out there.

The good thing, is that there are few dishonest crooks on eBay. Of thousands of transactions, I've only had a few problem buyers or sellers.

One time I purchased a computer over $1000. After not receiving it for several weeks (way past the promised delivery), I complained to the seller. No response, after several inquiries. I escalated to eBay and got the seller's telephone number and called him. Put him on the spot and demanded to know when I would receive the computer. He then admitted he sold it to someone else (after receiving my money). He then failed to refund my money, I escalated further to eBay that it was criminal fraud and eBay's 'quality assurance team' or whatever, refunded my money. I'm willing to let a dollar or two slip by, but not $1000. Most sellers are honest people, and I'll stand by that statement.

Hi, I am up now!

Well, I have been following” Nest from when the company began. All of my friends have Rings and like them although they know there are weak areas. Most people acknowledge the areas Nest excels in ... some of my friends are switching if they think it matters.

I’m 70, I just bought a new house and I’m planning to buy what I feel is the best.

I watched dozens go videos on YouTube that absolutely proved to me that Nest was better ... the the two are also very similar. Nest really excels in getting a very clear video, much better than Ring. Nest records 24/7 365 days of a year .... Ring only records when it notices motion. Nest keeps your recordings ... it’s $5.00 a month.

Ring it a very good product ... but Nest just narrowly edged it out and I’m planning on buying more of their products.

If you have an afternoon, just watch a few on YouTube.

Good luck and good feelings and health to you.

Thankfully the Republicans run the senate. But both parties seem to have given up on tax conformity.

So is lucky Minnesotans get to do our federal taxes twice. The old way and then the new way.

The gov has to deal with a republican senate. Nothing will get done.

Wow. That means negative feedback, right ;)

I’ve heard almost every trick by scam buyers. One of my buds takes pictures of anything item past $100 just in case they sell to some crook, and they say something like “it’s damaged and seal broken” when he 100% damn knows it was brand new and sealed.
