Won’t be long before fedex, ups, usps are going to require “package” boxes where they can deliver your packages.

I hear that one of the companies has their delivery people taking a photo after they’ve left a package at the door. At least they can prove it WAS there.

Amazon implemented this option quite some time ago. When I buy something from them, I have the option of delivery to an address or a drop-spot. The closest to me is a grocery store about 1.5 miles from me. Amazon sends me the box number and a passcode via email, then I go and get it.

Used it a couple times and it works pretty well.

we have homemade boxes for ups/fedex deliveries up here in rural northern idaho because of weather/road conditions. Nobody grabs stuff from them because they would likely get a ass full of lead pellets, if they were caught in action.

See "Amazon Locker." I use them occasionally, especially for high-value things. They are all over near us and are very convenient to use.

Amazon already has drop off sites with locked keys that you can choose to deliver to. They may make it mandatory.
