Many of you have asked if we will be brewing a fundraiser beer to support Camp Fire relief efforts. The answer is a resounding yes.
We are proud to announce the upcoming release of Resilience Butte County Proud IPA. We will be brewing Resilience on Giving Tuesday, November 27 and donating 100 percent of the beer sales to the Camp Fire Relief Fund. In addition, we are also asking every brewer in America to brew Resilience and do the same.
Im sending a letter to brewers across the country, inviting them to join us in this effort. We are working with malt, hop and yeast suppliers to provide raw ingredient donations to all participating breweries, that sign up prior to December 7, and are asking those breweries to donate 100 percent of their sales to the fund, as well.
We know that the rebuilding process will take time, but were in this for the long haul. Our hope is to get Resilience IPA in taprooms all over the country to create a solid start for our communitys future.
Thank you to every Sierra Nevada employee across the country for your support; well get through this together.
A wide variety of suppliers and distributors also joined in, making sure breweries got the supplies needed to brew this fundraising beer, and a week from Friday, the first breweries should be serving these IPAs. Again, the intention is that 100% of the sale of the beer goes to a fund to help rebuild businesses in the Paradise, Concow, Magalia and Yankee Hill areas. Their goal was to raise a million dollars.
It looks like it'll easily surpass 5 million. Please check the link for a map of the breweries which will be serving this beer; the link will also be updated with retailers which will be also participating by selling bottled versions. Homebrewers who want to join in on their own, there's also a link for the homebrew recipe.
If it tastes like Torpedo+, I’m in.
Two “local” breweries on the map.
Wow, not just donating the profits, but their entire revenue stream. That means they are donating their costs. What a great thing to do!
IPA= way too much hops. I’d buy some to support the charity, though.

I lived in England in the seventies and drank good brew. When I returned to the USA our brew was absolute crap. Coors light should be classified as a crime against humanity.
In the 80s we had the advent of many micro brewers that are turning out first class beer and ale.
My local micro brewer does some of the best. He has set up a place to drink in his brewery for us to drink and also sell to the local grocery stores. He makes a first class beer and ale. He has doubled his brewery capacity in the last few years. He had difficulty with keeping up with demand for his most superior products.
Meh. They always do these donation beers with pale ales or IPAs. So, I rarely buy them. They should try using a good beer next time!
Meh, it’s just for charity. Give it to the neighbor.
