If Theresa May is successful in killing Brexit, yellow vests (the British version) will be coming to the UK soon also.

If Americans try to copy the French uprising against gas taxes I hope we use orange vests.

“I am conscious that we have reached the end of fossil fuels and that we have to modify our habits,” said Mr. Picard, a 32-year-old pastry maker from northern France. But, he added, “You have to continue to live.”

When Climate Change zealots say that "we need to limit or end the use of fossil fuels," the "they" actually means "you." Feeling good about yourself for "saving the planet" sure sounds great when other people and nations are being inconvenienced or even bankrupted while you keep living as you always have. Al Gore is the poster boy for this mindset, but he's not an outlier, he's representative.

The “Climate Change” effort is nothing more than a strategy to gain political power and financial gain by the corrupt among us.

It is a criminal fraud, period.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...I guess there isn’t enough money on the ‘money tree’ to support those ‘guests’ French liberals welcomed into their country.

Do you suppose the New York Times hypocritically uses fossil fuels in its own operations?

I suspect that 80% of the French were TOTALLY ON BOARD for ‘saving the world’, even 2 months ago, even if it costs them money.

Now that they’re seeing what that means to them and their lifestyle I suspect the number is 20%.

The difference: In the first case, the money was hypothetical, but the feeling of ‘saving the world’ was good, so why not support it. In the second case, the money is REAL, and thus the good feeling of ‘saving the world’ simply vanishes.

Here’s the Lesson for Climate Change.

Turn up the heat more slowly next time, or the frog will jump out.

The gas tax is part of an effort started by France in 2014 to regularly raise the tax on fossil fuels to fight global climate change.

Someone needs to explain to us how imposing and raising taxes on fossil fuels 'fights' global climate change.

But successfully passing carbon taxes is an increasingly delicate balancing act, with the biggest single obstacle still the pushback from the fossil fuel industry and its supporters.

They want to impose an ever expanding and crippling burden on the working and middle class which does nothing to stop man-made global warming.

CO2 is still being added to the atmosphere while increasing amounts of money are taken from families for an hypothesis.

This isn't a solution. It's government extortion.

If he realized “we have reached the end of fossil fuels”, then he is living in a fantasy land.

How ironic will it be when some study asserts that tear gas accelerates climate change?
