It is the highest amount of apprehensions along the 1,954-mile long border in a single month since Donald Trump took over as president in January 2017... But the figures were actually higher under President Barack Obama.

I don’t think people are looking ahead enough. We are very rich over here.
Mexico is badly run and is considered to be one of the most crooked countries in the world. A lot of these people from South of the border have not got any education, have children in the higher numbers, 8, 10, even higher and down in those countries the age of consent is sometimes pretty low. The view of women is not at all like our own. Underage women are not off the map for many of them.
After, if we are lucky, 8 years of Trump we will continue to have the problem with these people. They will figure ‘I’ll just cross that border and enter the land of milk and honey’. Of course we will have to give them that milk and honey through all sorts of programs paid by our taxes if the Dems get in again.
We need laws and a wall. Otherwise we will be ruined as a country.
While that is bad, I know of one year when the flow was over 90,000 per month, for ten months a few years into the GW Bush administration.
I got that from a border patrol agent myself.
If 2,000 a day doesn’t get your attention, then wait until it’s 10,000 a day..........

Article and comments.
If they caught 60k that means 600k tried and most of them made it in. And that’s using a 10% capture rate, it’s probably much lower. And it extrapolates to 7.2 million a year over the 12 months. The country is finished with these numbers. In another, better, time heads would have rolled in DC for this sort of treason being fostered upon on the nation.
LucyT, it has been since around 2004. I no longer have a reference. I just know that the report I saw showed a 900,000 figure for entries in one sector alone, along the border during that nine month period.
Early in the Bush administration, the border was flooded due to Bush’s announced intent to legalize the illegals in this nation.
Time Magazine (I believe it was) pegged the flow at 3.5 million per year at one point. I never thought it was that bad, but 2.0 million wouldn’t have been out of the question.
I think that more than ten percent are apprehended, but clearly a lot are getting in over the Southern border without being apprehended.
Also, a half to a million are admitted legally every year, and many come by plane and just overstay their visas.
If rhe figures were higher under 0bama, it was because he wanted them to sign an agreement to vote dem, if they made it in at any time.
GO AFTER THE EMPLOYERS; SHUT THEM DOWN AND BANKRUPT THEM PERSONALLY WHILE THEY LANGUISH IN JAIL.
So, where are those 60,000 people?
Nearly 400,000 were caught FY 2018 alone.
Keep in mind, these numbers represent those who were caught. How many were not caught?

How many actually showed up for any kind of immigration hearing? Less than 10%? How many are actually deported? Less than 5%?
That also doesn't take into account those who are NOT apprehended.

We were told for years that there were 11 million foreign nationals in our country unlawfully. It was a lie.
Yale, MIT study: 22 million, not 11 million, undocumented immigrants in US [1]
And 22,000,000 undoubtedly, is under estimated as well.
That's more people than the ENTIRE state of Florida, and darn near as many as the whole state of Texas! A massive entire state's worth of foreign nationals who have disrespected our sovereignty and rule of law and are living here illegally.
There is a daily, continual, invasion of our country and until Trump came along and actually made it a front and center issue, nobody at the national political level gave a damn, especially congress.
