I know Trump has been focused on the issue, but we are currently running the largest trade deficit in recorded history with China.

I think another Freeper gave a good answer to this, in that as the economy has improved, we're buying again. The problem is that much of what we buy is made elsewhere. As that changes, this trend should reverse.

That said, President Trump can't do this by himself. We need to buy the stuff made here when we can.
