That fashion statement could make Tehran, Iran the fashion capital of the world. Not good for the CO2 because it uses way too much CO2 intensive cotton production to supply the increased demand. LOL!!

The documentary I saw said that the crew did sell the gear before they left, and when they got stuck, they were SOL.
Key to fashion is having it fit your frame well.....and knowing what suites your particular frame. Far too many woman haven’t a clue. A gal can look outstanding in less expensive clothing if she knows these facts.
A seamstress is worth their weight in gold.
Just don’t take wardrobe advice from Stacey and Clinton. ;)

I can’t afford a seamstress, but since I live in a rural area and do construction work, jeans, a shirt and boots are my “uniform” most of the time. I’m tall and a readily available anywhere size 5 fits fine-but I’m always mindful of the way even my jeans look-I like to be neat and tailored-not going to wear fussy stuff that is intended for a shorter woman with a curvy frame, or stuff without a defined waist and hips-I’d look ridiculous, no matter how expensive the designer garment was...
If you’re a size 5 likely you look pretty good when you do deck out. .....BTW seam-stresses are less expensive than you think, especially in rural areas.

There is a seamstress out here-I don’t know her, but one of my neighbors has had her make a satin kimono and a couple of skirts-she says the lady is good and reasonable-this Spring when work picks up again, I want to see if she can make a couple of cotton lounge/sleep shifts and a denim pencil dress for me-I have the originals-both the shift-which my guy likes-and the dress-both are threadbare and falling apart but I haven’t been able to find a duplicate for either even at that Alibaba market out of Hong Kong online, where I’ve bought silk shifts, satin kimonos, etc-I’ve seen some stuff that is close, but not exactly the same-I want exact duplicates.
The reason fashion is such a prodigious producer of emissions and garbage is because it is planned obsolescence. The insecure, status-seeking folk willingly purchase new clothes each year (or maybe more often) in order to keep up and retain their shallow friends.
If some folks weren’t so sartorially insecure, the emissions and garbage would go way down as people held on to their old clothes longer.
I do expensive shoes for running. I’m a runner, and I don’t want to brutalize my feet.
Everything else is middle-of-the-road expense or cheap.
Please tell me somebody ‘shopped computer-generated yellow Moslems into that picture.
Oh well, my dogs are barking today but at least I don't need to worry about sitting down unexpectedly!
