A trusted Obama aide who once worked for an alleged Iranian regime lobbying group is one of the individuals in charge of Iran policy planning at the State Department under Secretary Rex Tillerson.
Sahar Nowrouzzadeh, the Iran director for former President Obama’s National Security Council (NSC), has burrowed into the government under President Trump. She’s now in charge of Iran and the Persian Gulf region on the policy planning staff at the State Department.
To make matters worse, Nowrouzzadeh is a former employee of the National Iranian-American Council (NIAC), a non-profit that is accused of being a lobbying group for the Iranian regime. NIAC’s current president, Trita Parsi, has long held close relationships with top officials in the Tehran dictatorship. In February, a group of over 100 prominent Iranian dissidents called for Congress to investigate NIAC’s ties to the Iranian regime.
One of Nowrouzzadeh’s primary duties under President Obama was to promote initiatives that pushed the Iran deal. As President Obama’s NSC director for Iran, Nowrouzzadeh sat in on high-level briefings along with President Obama, former VP Joe Biden, and former Secretary of State John Kerry, as top White House staff crafted false narratives on the Iran deal to sell to the American public.
According to the head of a state-run Iranian newspaper, Nowrouzzadeh was an essential element to pushing through the Iran deal. Editor-in-Chief Emad Abshenass said that she opened up a direct line of communication with the Iranian president’s brother. “She helped clear a number of contradictions and allowed the entire endeavor to succeed,” Abshenass said of her efforts.

On Friday, Tillerson said, "Trump is “a man who’s undisciplined, doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefing reports, doesn’t like to get into the details of a lot of things but rather says ‘this is what I believe."
Tillerson also said, "the president would say here’s what I want to do and here’s how I want to do it and I would have to say to him, ‘Mr. President I understand what you want to do but you can’t do it that way. It violates the law,'” .
Trump responded, "Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell."
It turns out Tillerson was pursueing Obama policies at the State Department and deliberately sabotaging President Trump on Iran policy, relations with Israel, the Paris Accords and other issues.
Trump was correct to fire him and to come down on Tillerson after Tillerson attacked President Trump to the media.
Deep State continues its fight to save Obama’s Iran deal.

Forget draining the swamp in Washington. . .it needs a royal flush as in enema. We need to pray that President Trump is surrounded by trusted true Patriots. God knows who is capable. . .we need to ask Him first rather than suffer the consequences by employing those who are career politicians or government workers.
Trump is so naive when it comes to the deep state. Very few of the Obama holdovers have been purged. We are so screwed.
It is very disappointing. If elections no longer work, there is only one alternative for freedom loving patriots.

I think POTUS vastly underestimated the treasonous behavior of his own party. The latest seems to be all quarters of the beltway trying to bully Trump into not running again in 2020. Good luck with that.

Another reason Trump should have signed a memo Jan 20, 2017 firing every Obama executive branch hire by the close of business that Friday afternoon. Every single person. Too late now.
Congress, by majority vote, and Trump could spin off parts of the United States.
The new countries would be Swampland independent.

Trump needs to develop some more ideologically competent individuals to be able to send in another set of “landing parties” to most Depts., have them survey how best to get a purge going.

The corruption is just so wide, deep and pervasive that it will be a long term effort to put things right.
There are too many bureaucracies employing too many Swamp people that the Deep State cannot be cleared out in one fell swoop.
Well... A nuclear strike could do it but anything short of that will take time, perseverance and the stomach for a long struggle.
It has been made clear in the last two years that they will not leave or relinquish their stranglehold on America without a nasty, dirty fight.
I agree but not sadly. I’m locked and loaded. Happy to get it on. The wheels are turning and there’s no other alternative. It will require prudent and disciplined action as demanded by the Declaration of Independence. Not a haphazard effort that could be infiltrated and sabotaged by the demons of democracy. What we are experiencing is a slow and sometimes not so slow communist takeover of our nation. Anybody that denies this is a liar and facilitator of the left.
