The Manhattan district attorney’s office and New York state police are expected to arrest several senior executives in former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s finance company on fraud charges Tuesday, The New York Times reported.

The executives are expected to be a part of a larger arrest of roughly a dozen senior executives spanning several companies involved in New York real estate and development. The district attorney’s office launched a new investigation into New York’s $62 billion construction industry, including the construction and facilities department of Bloomberg L.P., in 2017.

Investigators uncovered a pay-to-play scheme in which subcontractors and vendors doing work on Bloomberg company offices would offer bribes and kickbacks to Bloomberg executives. In exchange, the Bloomberg executives would pay more for the work done, defrauding Bloomberg L.P. for millions.

Since these are state and not Federal charges, I would assume that the local officials in New York harbor a grudge against Bloomberg. Perhaps Hillary Clinton and her allies in state government want to sabotage a rival for the nomination for President for the Democrats. Perhaps after Trump, the Deep State don't want another New York billionaire, even a liberal one, in the White House. His wealth would make him hard to control, as Clinton and Obama, who lacked deep personal pockets outside of politics, were easily controlled.

We are officially a banana republic. It’s so bad that you see this crap and we all start thinking what’s the angle in politics. It would be nice if they were getting busted because they deserved it and were caught because they were investigated for real issues.

But today in our 3rd world legal system it all comes down to the power plays. It’s like same fiction books coming to life.
